"If I could give no stars I would they’re never in the office they never fix anything they don’t return calls!! Half of the apartments or townhomes are unlivable no hot water I haven’t had heat in 2 years!! My dishwasher has leaked to the point mold is around the walls and has even started to cover my vents! I’ve been to the office 2 days in a row no one is there been calling for 3 days no answer not even the emergency line !! They really should be shut down by Mecklenburg County"
"Never in office...doors are always locked. Phone numbers don't work. Emails go unanswered. Maintenance requests get canceled...even if they're an emergency like the roof leaking and the ceiling starting to fall apart or the dishwasher flooding your kitchen. I went a week without AC last summer. Can't get into my mailbox. All of my neighbors smoke pot and cigarettes inside their apartments, so my apartment smells...but nothing is done. My shower barely trickles out, and that's yet to be fixed. We haven't had access to our laundry room in a year. And have never had pool access. This is a slum run by slum lords. My elderly neighbor had squirrels chew a hole in her wall from the outside and that's still not fixed. The outlets barely work, and the ones that do...the plug just falls out if you don't position it just right. I could go on and on, but it wouldn't matter. I'll just a get a cookie cutter response from property management. They respond to reviews, but never to their residents calls or emails. EDIT: I've been emailing every day at this point as the situation with the standing water in my kitchen gets worse and worse. I've received zero response. You don't care about us."
"If you are reading this in hopes to find a place to live at a reasonable cost, go somewhere else. Yes, the rent is a bit lower than other places, and should be way lower considering everything a tenant has to endure to live here. There is literally not one good thing to say about Scarlet Pointe. From the very first day of moving in, there has been a litany of issues, broken promises, and more. If you enjoy having litter scattered everywhere across the property, maintenance requests going unattended to for months, emails and calls to the property manager and associates being ignored, a swimming pool that looks more like a cesspool and has never been opened, then you have come to the right place. Do yourself a favor and check out the local news reports of this place and the filth some of the residents have to live in. There were reports of units having no electricity, leaking pipes, no heat, no hot water, and overall lack of regard for its residents. Nothing has changed. Renting from this place has been one of the single-most worst decisions of my life, and that's saying something. I'd rather get back with my ex than have to live here any longer. The owners/management simply do not care for the residents. They make zero effort in providing a safe, comfortable, clean, hassle-free community for people to live. Instead, they care about getting their rent and that is literally the ONLY thing they care about. Please look somewhere else. Update*** Look at the canned response below. Do you think with a response like that they REALLY care about my concerns? That email they provided doesn't get monitored nor does anyone respond if you send an email to them. They don't care about making the resident happy at all. Not one bit. I promise you, you would be better off living under a bridge than living here."
"Management doesn’t know how to communicate with the community. I only been here for 2 going on 3 weeks. I understand there are some things out of management control but they could have better communication skills with the community. I personally feel like the residents are not managements top priority. They ignore the phone when t ring and the office door the is closed majority of the day with little to no explanation as to why. This makes it difficult for residents to get the issue resolved. For someone who moved states and landed here I would honestly rate the management a 0%."
"My wife and I are upset and heartbroken. We were really looking forward to moving into the 2 bedroom townhouse we applied for. Before applying, we spoke to Nicole in the front office and explained our credit score is really bad due to breaking a lease early and that they put a huge collections on our report. 100% upfront before wasting our time and money applying. Nicole let us know that even if we get denied by the automated system, we should be able to work something out and we can pay extra deposits or something. So after getting denied by the 3rd party system, I kept playing phone tag with front office and was never able to get in touch with the "decision maker" manager to negotiate with them about what I need to get approved. SILENCE... we've been completely ghosted. I also have $25,000 in my bank account after selling my house. I could literally pay 3 years of rent up front if I wanted to. Anyway, it's been a huge heartbreak and disappointment. Zero phone calls nor communication"
