"They are terrible at communication. Never can get a response through email or phone calls. This is the worst rental management I have interacted with so far all my life."
"Management cannot find a solution to your problems. They say they will be get back to you, but we can't get an answer. The new management is very slow and irresponsible. They do nothing but apologize for problems. We are not getting a response to our emails. They don't answer the phones. We have been living here for 3-4 months, but we are experiencing communication problems that we have never experienced anywhere before. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible!!"
"Would not recommend unless you enjoy living in a home with air conditioning that does not work. I have lived here since October 2022. On July 4, 2023, the HVAC system in the house stopped working. On July 8th, I submitted a maintenance request and told management that the temperatures were reaching 79 degrees. Maintenance came out 2 days later (7/10) and claimed to have added freon to the unit. It did not change anything and it was still incredibly hot in the house. I went to the office several times after the 10th and told management the AC was not working still. Maintenance stopped by 2 more times and nothing was fixed. On July 14th, I submitted an additional maintenance request. Maintenance came to house again and still did not fix it. On July 15th, I submitted a third request. A HVAC company came to the house and was unable to fix it. The HVAC company said that the unit was too small to accommodate the square footage of the house and no matter what they did to try and fix it, it would never work properly. Maintenance placed a portable AC unit in the living room. This made the living room cool off to a degree, however all three bedrooms were still hot. Over the course of the next several days, I had many conversations with the office and they said they were doing their best to get it fixed. On July 21st, a second portable AC unit was placed in one bedroom. However, when the unit was placed, it was installed incorrectly and the exhaust of the unit was blowing into the room and the intake was connected to the outside. This pulled hot air from outside and consequently made the temperature rise to 89 degrees in the house. On July 27th, maintenance arrived at the house at 8:00 in the morning. They knocked on the door, but I was unable to hear them knocking due to the extremely loud portable ac unit in the bedroom. So they decided to let themselves in, without notice. When I heard the door open, I jumped out of bed and met them in the living room. The maintenance guy said that he was here to pick up the portable ac unit that was in the bedroom because Ailsa Village had only rented it for a certain period of time. Mind you, the AC has still not been fixed at this point and without the portable ac units, it was reaching into the low 80s in the house. After a brief interaction with maintenance, I made it clear that they were not taking the unit without replacing it with a new one or fixing the AC first. They left and then replaced it with a different portable unit later. Finally, the day came that the HVAC was supposed to be completely fixed and I was told there would be no further problems with it. Well that didn't quite play out.... I am writing this on August 24, 2023, and the HVAC system still is not working properly. I have had portable units in the house that still run to maintain 72 degrees in the house. However, the portable units are still not enough to combat the summer heat. My central HVAC unit runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I have contacted two other HVAC companies and told them the square footage and the model number of the unit that is installed at the house. Every company has told me that the unit at my house is too small for the square footage (including the company that Ailsa Village hired to "fix" the problem). Office staff have told me multiple times they are trying to remedy the problem and they aren't simply trying to put a bandaid on it. Actions speak louder than words. On top of all of this, the closet where the hot water tank is located has a drain pipe that goes directly in to the main sewage line for the house. It constantly leaks sewage gas and makes the house smell as if you are sitting in a Port-A-Potty. Maintenance placed a cap over the drain pipe in an effort to stop the smell. However, the smell still leaks out of it and makes the house smell. I placed an additional maintenance request and have not heard anything yet. I am currently paying over $2300 for rent (including fees). Spend your money elsewhere. If there is a change or solution to this, I will happily update my review."
"I’ve been here a little over two months now. I’ve already made a few friends, and the staff has started implementing get-togethers which have been quite lovely. The staff is very approachable and genuine. The cottages are great, too! 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms in a stand-alone unit cannot be beat anywhere! Living on the golf course is great.. we love that there’s no one behind us and the course is beautiful. So far, it was a great choice!"
"Beyond happy with our experience so far since moving in on Friday. Our cottage is absolute perfection. I have enjoyed decorating it from top to bottom this weekend! Sitting on the back patio, overlooking the pond is a plus! Peaceful and serene is how I would describe Ailsa Village! I can’t wait to make many happy memories with my family here!"
