I brought my 1986 Mercedes 300GD in to Northpoint to get “cleaned up”, as the truck was my “getaway” car at my wedding so it needed to look great. Marc and his guys were up to the task – completing among other things - rust patches/refinishes along seams, windshield welds, door areas and they pinch welded a new rocker panel on as well. They also painted all the trim pieces, bedlined the skid plate and wet sanded the entire truck which literally made the 34 year old Mercedes look brand new. Additionally, they are located in a cluster of shops that specialize in upholstery, wheels, electronics, etc so they are willing to quarterback a lot from there for you as well. For example, I needed some of the original brown check fabric for the seats, vinyl for the A pillars, my wheels refinished (they had been painted black), and new tires - they coordinated it all, communicated along the way, and it looks awesome. "The North Point team recently finished my third restoration project with them and once again I am very pleased with the results. This custom rotisserie restoration required difficult rust repair (done properly with hand formed metal patches) as well as fabricated custom touches such as the front and rear spoilers. To top off the laser straight bodywork, deep black paint with extensive hand laid graphics and ghosted stripes was painstakingly applied. Besides vintage car restorations, the guys have also done great work on my newer cars, taking care of dings, scrapes and panel repaints.
