Reviews of The Arboretum Apartments
"Catherine Rojas is the most arrogant and rude office manager I've ever met. She will never do anything to solve your problem but will lecture you and blame her colleges for the things that she hadn't done. Avoid her if you don't want to be treated as trash"
"Cons: Dirty grounds and amenities, roaches everywhere (inside and outside), terrible communication from management, unsafe parking lots, and overall a subpar community for the price. Pros: Close to grocery stores and public transportation. Used to be inexpensive but is now market level. I recently completed my lease at the Arboretum Apartments, and unfortunately, my overall experience was far from satisfactory. Here are some significant issues I encountered during my stay: 1. Pest Infestation (Roaches): Dealing with a roach infestations in my apartment was a recurring nightmare. Despite reporting the issue to the management, the problem persisted, and their attempts at pest control proved ineffective. I understand that OLD communities have pests, but this was disgusting. 2. Security Concerns: My car was broken into twice during my time here. There are homeless people living in the woods, and degenerates that roam the parking lots at night. The lack of proper security measures in the parking area and surrounding premises raises serious concerns about the safety of residents and their belongings. 3. Poor Communication: Communication with the management was consistently frustrating. I experienced delays in responses to inquiries, and there were instances where they failed to follow through on scheduled appointments. The five-day window for entry was both inconvenient and often disregarded, leading to disruptions in my routine. 4. Maintenance Issues: The maintenance guys are the best part of the Arboretum Apartment and contrast starkly with the rest of management. My only complaints is that there's dog poop and discarded food EVERYWHERE. I understand that this is the fault of residents', but it's truly disgusting to walk past poop, chicken bones, and cigarette butts everywhere on site. 5. Unprofessional Behavior from Management: *Expect to receive MULTIPLE texts and emails from the arboretum EVERY DAY upon moving in. (Unless it's about something important, like moving your car for parking lot repairs, in which they'll let you know an hour beforehand that you must move NOW or else you'll be towed and have to pay for your own car back). *Also expect them to make up a reason to enter your apartment at least once a month. *Upon scheduling a walk-out, I received an angry email from management, which was both unprofessional and unwarranted. Then I proceeded to wait all day in my empty apartment, waiting for my scheduled walk through, only to have them not show up. *This type of communication and lack of follow-through only added to the overall negative experience and reflects poorly on the management's professionalism. 6. Hidden Fees: They raised my rent by $500 one year, and there are a ton of hidden "amenity" fees. So expect to add at least $150 onto whatever your base rent is. Considering the high rent, the overall value for money is simply not there. I would strongly caution potential residents to thoroughly research and consider other options before committing to a lease here. TD/LR: Overall a disappointment. Roaches, car break-ins, poor security, terrible management that is always in your business, and lack of privacy. But maintenance guys are super nice!"
"I had my car TOWED even after having gone through the process on the lease. My other half was told that everything would be fine during the wait time to get a sticker. I recently had a health emergency and was released from the ICU with severe health problems. The office was aware of everything. My car was towed with no warning, no text, no email, not even a door note. This is so sad and trashy. The complete disregard and zero care attitude was mind boggling to me. Especially on the phone there was absolutely zero care. My car was parked in front of my apartment too there was no emergency or violation of any kind. This was a straight up trashy nonsensical act. The staff here is absolute trash, I would not recommend this place to anybody. Also the appliances are ancient and the HVAC is SO loud."
"I just moved in and so far everything has been Awesome. Staff has been professional and maintenance people quick on maintenance request. Also property seems to be kept up beautifully. Neighbors all seem to be friendly. Quiet neighborhood and shopping centers are all near by."
"a great place to live. across the street is a lot of shops, a cinema, chic bookstore, dry cleaning and more. You do not even need a car, everything is close. Very helpful and friendly staff. A few days ago we built a playground. Highly recommend."
