"Without a doubt the best place to go in the greater asheville region no matter your skill level. L I am only a year into golf, and after assembling my first set of clubs between donation stores and the excellent play-it-again here in asheville, Nevada Bob's has been my go to for everything I needed to improve my game. NB carries a great selection of used clubs; be they on consignment or owned by the store. In addition because they are used, no sales tax, so the number on the tag is what you pay. I have bought a new to me 4 Hybrid (taylormade Sim Max 2 Rescue) my entire Irons collection (Tour Edge E521 hot launch iron- woods) and even my Putter (Cleveland Hunting Beach Soft) from their used selection. The staff and owner are great people. They Allowed me to pay in installments on the Iron set and even my driver (New but last years model). I had to zero my balance before clubs left the building, but with such an expensive hobby this was vital in me affording to upgrade. Add In the simulator and the two hitting cages at the rear of the shop and this is truly the go to spot in Asheville. While I wouldn't treat them like a driving range, the ability to pop in, hit some balls/work out some kinks before a scheduled golfing day, or try out clubs is unmatched in town. Again this is where I did my Driver fitting and bought my first new golf club. Never have I felt pressured or like I was being pushed on any particular sale. The staff and owner know that the real value of customers is in repeat patronage not a single sale. Finally there is no snobbyness or pretentioness that is so rife in the sport. From day one I have felt welcomed and valued by the staff. ... one tip if you are coming to the shop in peak hours it can be hard to make the turn across Hendersonville road. If coming via i40 take exit 51 for sweeten creek... then use the surface streets to get to their location. It's Shiloh road... this can make getting to the location a ton easier during heavy traffic periods."
