Reviews of Forest at Biltmore Park
"They take forever to get maintenance requests looked at. 80 Degrees with no AC working and two cats was not the best experience on move in day…. Update new ownership and the first they do is demolish all the beautiful landscape here and paint our building a sad grey. Disappointed the forest apartments aren’t gonna have as many trees now. Office ladies are not very nice and send out repeat emails a lot like during the freeze warning i received an email every day for 5 days explaining proper freeze peperations. LOTS of dogs so if you don't like them do not move here. Not enough parking close to buildings and after 3 months the new owners have not replaced any landscape they tore down and instead left piles of the tree shavings."
"This has been the most frustrating rental experience I've ever had. We moved in when the property was still "Forest at Biltmore", within a week it became "Artisan at Biltmore". We submitted a list of things in our apartment that needed attention and only two of those issues were addressed after many phone calls and trips to office, cat pee soaked carpet and leaking HVAC in the laundry room. The new company at first seemed like they really wanted to make things better for the residents. That was false. They tore down trees everywhere, which is the main reason most tenants chose this place. The two dog parks are bare and decrepit, fences falling, gates not latching, and the POOP. My god the amount of dog poop everywhere here is insane. This is not what I would say is acceptable for the prices they are charging. Currently we cannot walk the grounds because there is dog feces and trash everywhere. We are holed up in our second bedroom with our dog because they are doing "renovations". They are taking 1/4 of what little kitchen cabinet storage we have and moving it into the laundry room where now the washer is blocked. They're tearing down the wall that these cabinets were previously on to open the already open space from kitchen into the living room. The company gave us less than a weeks notice to move EVERYTHING out of our kitchen and bathrooms. Sure am glad I have the physical ability to do so. My partner works nights, they offered no accommodation to prevent losing sleep or having to take time off. Not to mention the fact that we do have an animal and now he has to be crated and stressed all day due to the loud noises. We are not confident that our apartment will be left in better condition than it was found. This is because when our crusty carpet was replaced they broke our couch and put all of our belongings on the porch/entryway, scratched our walls and did zero to help put things back, or clean up after themselves when they were done. This is not how we should be forced to live when we are paying nearly $2000 a month. If you are looking for a place to live consider this your last resort. The prices are too high for such a run down place."
"I have been a resident of The Forest/now The Artisan at Biltmore Park for 16 years. I have seen alot of management teams come and go. When new property owners/management took over this past fall and started making rapid changes to the property, I had many misgivings. I don't do change well, and I don't always trust they are for the better. Now, five months later, I can honestly say that the changes that are being made are for the betterment of the community. They recently started making renovations to our apartments - something I highly resisted. I had so much fear that it would be more a disruption to my life than I and my pets could/should bear. The renovations went wonderfully! I now have beautiful, brand new appliances, cabinets, and lighting and the renovation team was sensitive to my needs while getting the job done in a quick, efficient manner. I was amazed at how much they accomplished in a six hour period, even cleaning up after themselves. The management team is sensitive and accountable to the needs of their residents. They have treated me with respect, kindness, and prompt attention. I'm looking forward to resigning my lease this winter. I don't know that I have ever felt as much "a part of" this community as I do now. So much of it has to do with the management team and I weathering all of these changes together and then seeing and enjoying the fruits of that labor."
"For a place that talks a lot about how they are working on the “ beautification of the property” this is disgraceful. First painting over the exposed brick, then cutting down the beautiful trees, now they’re not maintaining the property well. It took about two months for someone to come out a look at a maintenance request we put in. I’ve only spoken to one person in the front office and she was so beyond rude that I won’t go back in there. Genuinely heart broken because I loved living here before new management took over."
