Reviews of Greybeard Long Term Rentals
"I’ve rented from GreyBeard since around 2020 when they purchased the apartments I was living in. They’ve been nothing but helpful. Every maintenance request was responded to and resolved immediately. When my refrigerator broke down they gave me a mini fridge to save my food they even replaced the refrigerator with a new one. Very friendly people. When I moved away for 9 months and moved back to Fletcher, they were the first people I contacted for a place to live. Have nothing but good things to say about this company. I will be moving to a house to rent from a friend soon and I will be leaving greybeard but I will always recommend them to anyone I know. Prices are reasonable and you really get your monies worth. They updated our town home before moving in with new floors etc. thank you greybeard"
"We rented from Greybeard for a year and a half. Overall it was a good experience and they were responsive to most maintenance requests that we had. When we moved into our house, it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke from the previous tenants, but they had done their best to paint and replace all the carpet. There was a little mold in one of the bathrooms and the house was generally "half cleaned". The siding and door frames were rotting away, and it took them 7 months to repair *parts* of these areas after multiple maintenance requests. The AC unit failed in the middle of August and it took them over 3 weeks to replace it, while the temperatures inside were above 80 degrees. These are a few of the inconveniences that I was prepared to move on from when we left. When we moved out, I cleaned the carpets and cleaned the house to a much better condition than when we moved in. (albeit the carpets were no longer brand new since we had lived there for 18 months). You would think that would be worth something to them, but they withheld part of our deposit because they claimed to smell "pet", and the carpets were no longer brand new. The $400 non refundable "pet fee" is simply pocketed and they WILL charge you if you have pets in their pet friendly home. We paid rent promptly on the 1st for all 18 months that we lived there and I only charged them for SOME of the needed repairs that I personally made to the home that they neglected. Shame on me for assuming my integrity would be matched by Greybeard, and for improving the condition of a strangers home. UPDATE: I still have pending maintenance requests, and clear communication for many other neglected requests. I don't need to share them or post them over a $300 carpet bill. I heard a lot of excuses in your reply, but I'm not the one with a suffering review. Keep those excuses."
"Inventory was low. Website is good and easy to use."
"I had a amazing vacation at the Moose House and found Greybeard was very accommodating. I have to mention I was super impressed with the teams ability to coordinate with the local Hey Baby business to get my rented strollers, beds and high chairs at the cabin for me when I arrived. Gateway Mountains is an amazing experience - we saw every kind of wildlife we could and the local lakes and waterfalls are conveniently located. Now let me be very clear - this community requires you maintain the 16 mph limit for both enjoying wildlife and safety. Despite written directions - I would ensure you have a functional GPS (Verizon worked and all others didn’t, FYI) because getting lost can require painful back tracking. Also would not hurt to have an all wheel drive for weather although many people were fine with 2WD, saw plenty of them. Don’t be afraid to walk instead of drive. And take a moment to enjoy the amazing Luna and Imperial Moths that frequent the patio in the summer. I can’t wait to return - I’ll be better prepared."
