"They are much better now than the management we had before!!"
"I moved here for graduate school. It was so hard finding a place when I got my acceptance letter in may and my internship in Kentucky was ending in June so I needed a place and quick. Emerson Northshore came to the rescue and they sent me videos and I was so impressed…until I got here. I hate having to write this review because I love my little one bedroom apartment but I can’t live with bugs not the multitude of problems I have had since moving in. This place is infested with roaches it’s ridiculous. And pest control (that we pay for monthly) is horrible. The only time he did his job was when he came with the property manager (who is very nice). I caught on my doorbell camera him (pest control) coming in and leaving in a span of 30 seconds. He didn’t treat anything even though I requested to the leasing office to have him come. I’ve had to buy glue traps and I can’t wait to get away from the bugs. Even has a bug crawl on me while I was in my bed…that was my breaking point. I live on the bottom floor so the big bugs come from the laundry room but apparently the smaller ones are coming from the outlets of the oven and fridge…yet pest control as yet to do something about it. He tried but I was cooking. He could’ve easily treated it when I wasn’t cooking on the other days…yes days I asked for him to come back but no……no. My window and walls also leaked when it rained heavy. My neighbors stole my TV because it was delivered earlier than I expected and I asked the leasing office to bring it inside for me. They were kind enough to do so…but only three days after I asked and it was too late. 99.99% sure my neighbor has it. But if you can get past bugs, leaking windows, and trifling neighbors this is the place for you! It’s right by Kingston pike and close to literally everything. That’s why it saddens me to look for somewhere else to move to. The leasing office is nice and they try to help me poor things, it’s just the building is old and the bugs decided it’s their property. Also the garbage piles up so much in the dumpster and it’s a mess. The pictures I showed aren’t all my pictures, I mainly have videos if my bug problems but it’s crazy. I’ve been here since July, paid June rent to secure the place even though I was still in Kentucky and I haven’t had one smooth month yet…."
"Just look to live somewhere else. Was my first apartment moving to Knoxville and was very glad I only signed a 6 month lease. Renovations may appear sleek and modern but just weren't done well. Essentially new paint, cabinets, and appliances for a building built in the 50s. A large property manager took over a couple of years ago and wanted to flip it and it wasn't a smooth transition. Had to deal with several water incidences between plumbing and window leaks. (Don't get the units on the other side of the utility room). Pest control was sub par. Management and maintenance was having to split time between Emerson properties so things took longer to address. Also, the first two 5-star reviews of this place were added by office staff. Only positive was the location. It is near Lakeshore Park, Kingston pike, and right across from the beautiful Sacred Heart Cathedral. My stress and frustration levels went down significantly after moving out and found better apartments across town for the $850 I was paying."
"Terrible! Floors are likely the least expensive option they found and look very cheap. Management is awful. They don't take care of the property or respond to inquiries. Hallways aren't clean and need painting. AC units are old and don't work properly. The worst: roach problem that isn't properly addressed. I have to spend my own money to address this."
