Reviews of Family Dollar
"Well I have never been to this location ever. So when I walked up to the store they had bars from end to end, which was a little off putting. But I needed a wireless charger. Got in line and it was crazy busy. Some customers where very rude and impatient. My cashier was a sweetie, but was dealing with a lot of crazy from CO employees and customers. But i got out quick without incidents. Lol crazy!"
"This Family Dollar is the most disgusting store I've ever been in. I went in just for three things. Dish soap and hand soap and mouthwash. The floors are dirty and look like that no one has ever mopped it. Boxes everywhere and things thrown around. The two cashier look a mess and the one cashier was upset she had to cash people out and help the other cashier. If it wasn't cuz I needed to get those items I would have never went inside if I knew what it looked like. Never again. Family Dollar CEO you need to get inside this place a start a complete makeover."
"On 2/25/20202 I was at the store and priced 3 Valentine candy items using the store scanner. I decided not to buy them. As I was leaving, the manager said excuse me sir, "What was that all about?" I didn't know what he was talking about. He said pricing items and not buying anything. I said I was debating about buying the items but changed my mind. Was there something wrong with that? He said let's get real now. He said I should not do that and I should buy something. When I tried to talk to him, he continually cut me off saying don't start or I will go off on you. I said you already went off and I headed towards the door. I did not engage him. He said not to come back again. Unfortunately I did not get his name. I don't know what prompted his actions but his behavior was totally uncalled for, ignorant and unacceptable. He was either having a bad day or something's wrong with him. I called the Family Dollar customer service number to file a complaint but I could never reach a live person to speak with. I left a partial complaint with their automated service but I doubt anyone will respond. BEWARE."
"I have been intimidated by e-coupons and the like for some time. Family dollar has made the experience so simple and easy to understand. The employees at the Amherst Street store are so nice, always courteous and show patience to the older generations. Without them I couldn't have utilized the savings. Truly amazing how much I save! Thank you Amherst Street Family Dollar! You guys are the best cashiers anywhere!"
"I'm reporting this business to corporate, because the store is absolutely FILTHY!! The cashiers are sullen, unfriendly, and spend their time chit-chatting in obscenities behind the register. I am DISGUSTED at the condition of this place. In a neighborhood that claims to be undergoing a renaissance, a store this filthy is an embarrassment to all! From the entrance way and all throughout the store, there are piles of dirt, no evidence of sweeping or mopping, items strewn everywhere, and foul smells. How can the same neighborhood with million-dollar investments (see: Chandler Street) and increasingly unaffordable rents have such a foul convenience store in its perimeter? Is this how they treat the people of this neighborhood? Is it because most people are poor/black/brown/immigrants? Shame on these people! Boycott Family Dollar!"
