"Great place where you know they take care of your dog very well. In other places, you get inside, and you get that particular smell with so many dogs. Here, you can tell they take care of the place and your animal."
"Wish they had more diversity in their care for boarding (various grooming options gor example, besides just a bath). But besides that quite good, fairly reasonable, and my dog seems to enjoy his say while there. They do have several package options for walks, etc. and a generic food option is included."
"I boarded my older, slightly handicapped German Shepherd at this kennel in 2012 when it was called Arbor Creek Kennel for 12 days. When I picked up my wonderful Max, he was almost dead. He had been left in his kennel with such poor care that he had maggots in his neck and did actually die 3 days later after 2 trips to the vet. I would recommend really researching this kennel thoroughly before leaving your beloved pet."
"We were visiting the area and needed a place for our German Shepherd rescue to board for almost 2 weeks. I researched all the options and we were so glad we picked North Buncombe Kennel! Mary and her family are wonderful, and a great mix of professional and friendly. They were very flexible and responsive. Most importantly, our dog seemed to love it there. He came back to us having gained a little bit of needed weight, with a glossy coat, and pretty calm! I highly recommend North Buncombe Kennel and we will absolutely use them again next time we are in town."
"North Buncombe Kennel was so wonderful to us! Our dog has special needs and they took such great care of him. The runs are awesome and their land is beautiful. Our dog also jumps fences, so the fact that the runs were fenced on top was so reassuring for his safety. He came home happy and relaxed (which is unlike him because he has separation anxiety) and they were also so thoughtful with how sensitive he is. We will definitely be recommending and returning!"
