"This apartment complex is not the most knowledgeable in leasing and I felt the most discriminated against as a student. Two things They didn’t follow my wants and needs on my application in the first place. I requested a second floor apartment. In the website it showed 3 of these apartments available. I didn’t want a leveler level because I have a baby and can’t do the stomping at night from people upstairs. I also came to my appointment 6 minutes late and was told we don’t do tours after 4:30 but my appointment was at 4:30 because they would have to lock up and stuff. Nobody told me this. So it was a big red flag I came there and almost didn’t get a tour. Then I was asked for a copy of my id I stated I sent one in the email (requested from leasing consultant) they stated we don’t take photo IDs through email we don’t even request those through email. I was the upmost shocked because they did ask me to email them it. To me I’ve noticed there is not clear communication between all the staff in the office because one person will tell you another thing and someone else will tell you a different thing. This was said to me in person by the Assistant manager. I’m a full time student as well as a working a full time salary job. As students we receive a financial aid refund from our schools I tried providing them with every once of proof that I am in school and that I do receive additional income. I provided them with everything that was requested which is 3 months of pay stubs(I provided 6), 3 bank statements( they wanted a bank statement that has not come out yet) and a photo id. I also provided them with an award letter stating how much I got from school and gave them a copy of what I got back. But here’s the catch they don’t take screenshots, I offered to print it out they said “ oh we want the real thing”. Schools don’t send awards lettters in the mail. There’s a process as students that we go through to get our refund back. Basically I paid my application fee then they told me if I couldn’t provide proof of financial aid in which I did multiple ways and several times then they won’t be able to process my application. So if your a student a receive your additional income from the school don’t apply here apply somewhere else. Because basically they’ll just take your application fee but not process it fully into the system and it takes a day or two for them to get back with you and I’ve never applied to an apartment complex that doesn’t allow for screenshots and print outs but yet you have to do a paper application and email it to them and when you scan it it’s the same as a screenshot or print of something."
"Very disappointed!!! I don't even know if I would give them a 1 star. When I first moved in, I thought it was a very nice place to live. I felt safe, being that it was a gated community, but sadly they are understaffed for maintenance and my AC issues never got resolved. I moved out a month early due to the fact that our AC was not working. Mind you, I paid for that month I was not living there ($1800). I made multiple calls to maintenance and the front office. And was told, it's because it was a hot summer. I did not get any kind of reimbursement for that month. I lived in a 2 story home and had all the ceiling fans and 3 stand-up fans going to try and cool us off, but was told my AC was fine. My kids and I couldn't even go upstairs, it was unbearable. So we left early, even though we paid for that month. THEN....a month later I received an envelope in the mail. (Did not even get a courtesy phone call) saying that I had to pay for urine damages from my dog. $1200, mind you I admitted that yes my dog used the potty a few times in the one bedroom because the door did not shut unless you lifted up on the handle to close it. It was my son's room and he's young so he didn't shut it correctly a few times and the dog got in. However, I made sure there were no stains and no urine smell when I left. I also cleaned the home top to bottom when it was about 90 degrees inside because they didn't come fix the AC. Anyway, I have photos of the pee stains on the underneath and they were not bad AT ALL! I've lived in apartments plenty of times with pets and not once was I ever charged for an entire carpet replacement. They also replaced it without even talking to me first. I offered to do a deep clean and they said it was too late because they already replaced it. So no AC the last month and a half we lived there and now $1200 payment I needed to make. I was in contact with management to make this payment. I asked for a 3 day extension....3 days! and I was told, no they could not wait, it would be sent to collections in the morning. So here we are!! I'm very ticked off at the lack of consideration, the lack of maintenance help (they have 1 guy and he's worked to death), the lack of care, they are way overpriced. And please, if you are going to rip out an entire carpet and charge for a couple urine spots, please don't even rent to family's with pets. Ridiculous!"
"We moved in Robinhood Court Apartment and Villas in the summer. Staff was not friendly and very inexperienced regarding leasing knowledge. The Maintenance guy lied about fixing our heat that was not working saying it was fixed and also the carpet in master bedroom was not cleaned well and smelled of mildew very old. Caitlin Hawkins the Property Manager there has very poor communication skills and does not respond back timely. Be Ware of renting here !!!"
"Sad to be moving out but had to because we have a grizzly dog and he needs a yard. I’ve lived in apartments all my life and always strayed away from a first floor. I think this little community is all in all quiet, friendly, no safety concerns and honestly not bad for the money. Love that it’s gated too. The lady above us is great & quiet. Have no issues with noise or anything disrespectful. I think this is the only apartment where I am a fan of first floor and not afraid of any break ins; due to it being 2 stories and has more of a home like feel still being in an apartment. The second story only has vaulted ceilings which brings that appeal up. But I like having the single entry without stairs. The unit is located not too far from the mail or dog trash bins and around the circle. Moving out of 5119 Nottingham apt 101. Please rent it. I don’t think you’d be disappointed. I’d stay if I didn’t have a mammoth dog."
"I have lived at Robinhood Court since August 2020. Right off the bat it did not start well. I had signed my lease and moved in a week later than my initial date but when I entered my apartment it was still being worked on and I received no notice of this. The maintenance worker was still fixing things around my apartment including my closet which was destroyed and still being painted so I could not move my clothes into my closet until a week later. This was the beginning of their unprofessionalism. I was also gaslighted by another maintenance worker who said that my leaking kitchen faucet was not a problem because all I had to do was push the handle to a very specific position and then it would stop so he did nothing to fix it. It was not until a new maintenance worker came along months later and said that it was clearly not working properly and needed a new part. There is little to no communication between management and maintenance. You are not able to schedule appointments and they will come to your apartment without any notice. No timeframes or even dates are provided. The community is also "gated" if you can call it that. The gates have been broken multiple times. The A/C is insanely loud so if you work from home you definitely do not want to move here. My mail key was also not working so they had to get a new one. They also tried to cheat me out of a discount that they were offering during move-in and did not give it to me until I took further action. The apartments themselves are nice and the neighborhood is quiet but the cons heavily outweigh the pros of this unprofessional community."
