"The service was super slow yet very good employees, cozy atmosphere and tasty food."
"I cannot even begin to say how amazing and enjoyable Stoney's was tonight. Very typical cozy Irish Pub with an extremely friendly and helpful staff. Spot on food. I had the Shepherd's pie and the blueberry cobbler cheesecake. 5 stars isn't enough. I want to thank the owner, the chef, and the wait staff on 9/9/23 for the dining experience I had."
"I was a bit disappointed with my first meal there. This place has a 4.7 rating, so my expectations were high. I ordered to Chicken Liver Marsala on a friday night. It was fairly busy and a bit noisy. Maybe a couple dozen + people in there. I just wanted the appetizer, but had a little disconnect with waitress. Ended up getting meal with two sides. I ordered the chicken livers medium/pink. I received very well done livers. Came with some buttered toast that was approaching burnt. The Marsala sauce just didn't taste like Marsala. Marsala wine has a very bold and sweet flavor. Even an inexpensive version should be very recognizable. If I got this item as random, I'd never guess it's supposed to be Marsala. It's a simple sauce to make. It's just reduced Marsala wine with demi glace stirred in. Maybe some garlic and herb added. It's pretty difficult to ruin. My side dishes were braised red cabbage and "executive" potatoes. Cabbage was pretty sweet. Potatoes were novel . They were cubed potatoes with olive , ham and seasoning. Unique item I've never encountered before. Meal cost $26+ $5 tip. The decor: It's a bar. It's reasonably clean and well kept. But it's just a small bar. Seats maybe 40 people? Most of the food from neighboring tables LOOKED appetizing. I'm sure there are some good meals there. Broiled scallops, Haddock, Sheppard's pie....etc.... Parking was a bit scarce. I live in Albany, this was a bit of a drive for me. If you're a local this probably could be a favorite. I probably won't be back any time soon."
"A nice pub here in town! I'm really surprised that they have good food (at least the ones I've ordered). Some pubs just stick to classic food and flavors, but Stoney's take it to the next level! Drinks are very good too."
"Totally not expecting this little gem when we arrived, we brought our two sons here on a Saturday night last minute dinner run.....Totally glad we did the staff is so pleasant and attentive the owner/manager? Was even helping out, the customers happily enjoyed the conversation with staff which never seemed to be rushing you. My husband had the a steak, my son had the turkey bacon wrap and my stepson had the roast beef "Joe" sandwich. And I had the chicken caprese francese style everything was absolutely delicious I ordered the Irish cream cheese cake to bring home it was delightful....definitely will be back soon! Kudos to the staff for such a lovely place"
