"Bought a used ak. Decided to have Scott check it out so that I knew it was safe. He said I could just stop by. Spent 5 minutes looking over the rifle with friendly conversation. He deemed the rifle operable and that he "wouldn't even hesitate to shoot it". Thanks Scott"
"Scott and team are smart and willing to help. I was having trouble with a couple of my pistols grouping 2 inches left of the aiming point. Others were saying it was my trigger control, but I don't have the issue with other pistols. Scott took a look at my pistol and targets, said "yep, your sights are off". He spent a few minutes adjusting them and drilled two shots dead center. They also make custom muzzleloaders and can handle most types of gunsmithing. I highly recommend the shop."
"Scott is a top notch guy and has incredible knowledge of all firearms. He manufactures his own turkey chokes that are THE best around. Adding a photo of his choke at 50 yards using 3 inch Winchester longbeard XR shells. We are customers for life! Thank you Scott!!"
"The best gunsmith experience I've ever had. He fixed my CVA Kodiak muzzleloader by redrilling new holes for the base to mount the scope rings and scope to. It was dropped on concrete and the factory holes were stripped. I love this muzzleloader and the memories I've created with it and to have it back like new again is amazing. Didn't cost me an arm and a leg either. I highly recommend you give Performance your business."
"I understand that Performance Gunwork has enjoyed success and made many happy with their muzzle loading products, however for gun service or repair I would advise you to go elsewhere. I was originally referred to Scott by a coworker and was pleased after letting him work on my AR-15. I decided to let him service an old .22 I had that was a functioning and firing weapon when It was originally given to him. It had issues reliably cycling in semi auto and he assured me that he could fix it and it wouldn't be long. He took my name, number, and rifle and I considered it a done deal. Fast forward well over a year later. Getting this gun back was not a burning concern of mine as I was sure Scott was diligently working on it when he could. I called him numerous times, usually every other month for an update where I'm continuously told that "The parts have been shipped and I am just awaiting them to arrive I'll call you and give you an update soon." Well the parts never arrived and he never once called with an update. The communication was absolutely one sided and I'm certain he'd forgotten about my rifle until I was on the phone with him. Finally beyond aggravated and exhausted of excuses and lack of communication I go to pick up the rifle. He has to search for the parts as if they were tossed around his shop and hands the gun to me in a bag. A old but working gun in need of some service returned disassembled in a bag in who knows what condition! Never again. Other reviews I've seen indicate similar experiences. Don't let this guy keep your guns."
