Renaissance Disc Golf Park - Gold
About the Business
Renaissance Disc Golf Park - Gold is a challenging and renowned course located at 1200 West Tyvola Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. This park offers a variety of terrains including uphill, downhill, open fields, tight mandos, ravines, and heavily wooded areas. Players can follow the YELLOW arrows to yellow/gold baskets, with some baskets colored white/gold or red/gold for overlapping courses. Although directional signage is set to be updated in November 2015, it has not been updated yet.
This course is considered the most challenging in the area and attracts players from around the world. The grey layout is more approachable for all skill levels, while the gold layout offers a more difficult and rewarding experience. The park is well-maintained with lush vegetation, but players should be prepared to potentially lose discs on blind holes.
The gold course is described as a monster, with long rounds that will test even the most experienced players. Despite its difficulty, many consider it a hidden gem worth exploring. With a dedicated maintenance crew and passionate ambassadors, Renaissance Disc Golf Park - Gold offers a top-notch disc golf experience for enthusiasts seeking a true challenge.

Reviews
"Not the most children friendly, but my son of 5 years and I go about 3 times a week. Volleyball and lots of trails."
"Beautiful park. Be prepared to hike but the views are amazing!"
"I honestly hate this course. It is very tough and has a pretty fun layout.... but God help you if it's rained in the last 11 days. The entire place is mud and leaves. No good footing. If you miss a single throw be prepared to be ripped apart by thorns getting your disc back... if you can even find it in all the growth. Wayyyy too much overlap between courses makes it hard to play through certain areas. I'd pass. It's just not fun."
"Bring your A game. Challenging course. Hole two sits atop a deep ravine. Probably 30 ft deep. My drive got my stuck on the side of the ravine. With all the rain the hillside was too muddy to get down so I had to get some sticks to get my disc back. I played a day after it rained hard here so my experience was frustrating mostly just due to the mud. Iโm sure if it was all dried out I would have had more fun."
