Reviews
"This free-to-play course was begun in 2019, and is the home course of Judah Kooistra, PDGA-J16 world champion. Each finished hole has been funded & installed by volunteer teams from various churches & schools. The course is in the center of the JAARS campus, and the first 9 play around the lake. The back nine play largely through the woods, but expect tight fairways and the need for technical shots. Each set of 9 holes make a loop, so you end where you started. The course has steadily improved over the last three years, so it is now well developed and challenging. Accuracy is rewarded; power can be counterproductive! If you have the time, visit one of the two museums. JAARS is a multidisciplinary team of problem-solvers committed to the belief--and the vision--that people's lives and communities are transformed as they experience God's Word in their own language."
"Great little wooded disc golf course on the JAARS center 5 miles south of Waxhaw."
"JAARS DGC I think is fairly difficult, with some technical holes. I say I think because I am pretty new to the sport. It's definitely hard for me, but it's close to home, so it's a good place to come get some practice in. My only real complaint is that there are quite a lot of thorns in the woods for when you shank a shot. Otherwise it seems to be a good course to play"
"All 18 holes have a concrete pad! It's a great course! Challenging but fun!"
"Not my favorite, but worthy if you can throw straight. Did not like the vines off the fairways. Razor sharp thorns! Also lost a disc in water to right of basket 9. And off the fairway right of basket 18."
