Oak Island Extended Stay

"New Owner and Management - new name ISLAND INN MOTEL! We are currently updating our rooms and building with the goal of becoming the best family motel on Oak Island. We welcome you to give us a call for availability and rates. We are located at 5611 E Oak Island Drive beside Dairy Queen and in walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores, shopping and the beach. Our pool will be opening in the spring for your enjoyment. We have large heated/air conditioned rooms which are equipped with refrigerators, microwaves, coffee pots and cable TV and WI-FI. You have a choice of rooms with either a king bed, two queens, queen/double or two doubles. Our old reviews are low but we intend on becoming a five star rated place for you to come back and stay over and over with family and friends. Hope to see you soon."

"First room, sink stopped up so moved to second room with broken fridge. They let us use 1st room fridge. There are NO amenities..no soap, tissues, tp and no daily maid service. Bed was comfy and TV had cable. It was ok for a couple of nites esp since it was pet friendly."

"We've stayed here several times over the years but, recently things have really gone downhill. Our sink was stopped up. The tub was stopped up. I took care of that myself, without complaining. The beds are comfy & the air is cold so I'm giving 2 stars. However there are NO amenities. No soap. No shampoo. No cups. No channel guide for the t.v. (And, the door has an inch gap that you can see the sky through.) It's not so inexpensive that amenities don't need to be offered. Very disappointing."

"Never had a good experience staying here, which we have done several times. Any problem we had was either not addressed at all by management or addressed much too late, from odor to bugs to broken furniture. We ended up cutting our vacation short because we were uncomfortable staying. It's cheap for a reason."

"Brenda is AWESOME. Its your basic motel but beds are comfortable and the beach is a 10 min walk."
