"The WORST inn I’ve ever been. We paid 265 for one night and we saw 10 cockroaches. We took a pic of that we never complained we told her and she gave us the money back. I forgot my Sandler there so I went in she let me in and said she sprayed something and said have to get out soon but my dad used the bathroom for 10 seconds she got mad slammed the door and said I gave u money back so get out of my property. For anyone who wants to reserve this inn please check the review first. Thanks"
"Back at the end of June and first of July, my 20 yr old college athlete/resident assistant/4.0 brother and his college athlete/resident assist/4.0 girlfriend went to the beach in N.C. for one week with her parents —- and then drove to Cherry Grove to spend a week with his dad and stepmom. These were family vacations. While both, in respective cars, were making the drive from one set of parents to the other, her has car trouble. Her car visibly starts smoking. They pull over into an empty parking lot - at a hotel. A lady runs out and tells them they have to leave. They try to explain that they have a car issue and have already called their parents to resolve it. She tells them that they have to leave - or she will call the police and have them towed. They try to explain they can’t, but will he gone as soon as possible. She pointed a leaf blower at my brother and walked towards him. A man came out and put phones in their faces to take pictures - and got their tags in pics. Keep in mind one of the kids was in tears at this point. My brother put his girlfriend in her car and had her lock the doors. He drove his car a 1/2 mile up the road to another hotel - talked to that hotel manager - who was wonderful and let him park his car there - while he RAN back the hotel. A tow truck arrived - thanks to the lady - but the driver was very sympathetic to the kids. He ended up helping them a lot and ultimately fixed the car within a few days. The kids never said ugly words or did anything wrong. They needed help. This place did not help them. When the parents got there, the man and woman would not come out - though they were asked to Don’t stay here."
"this place is an absolutely disgrace to hotels. my girlfriend were lost and her car started smoking so we pulled into their lot to check out her car. We were instantly told to leave or the police would be called. We tried to leave but the car would not start but the owners did not care. They walked out took pictures of our plates and FACES, and called the tow truck without letting us try to fix the car or get help. We seriously couldn’t leave. The tow truck guy was great and understanding and helped but the people who own this place are an absolute joke. Heard it is out of business and if that’s the case good riddance because it looks like an absolute dumpster fire. To the owners, y’all are an absolute disgrace."
"Let's start off by saying DO NOT STAY HERE! The service was absolutely absurd! I have never been disrespected by a manager/owner in such a manner. My wife and I stayed for 2 nights and the price of the room changed multiple times. On the day off check out we asked if we could park for an additional 2hr to enjoy our last day on the beach and was told "this is private property, if you do not evacuate I will call the police"."
"I love it here! The manager is a sweetheart. It's old fashioned, peaceful, and home-like. I'm into the older hotels because they're cheaper and more varieties of rooms. It's ran by one woman year round and she busts her butt to keep the place running. My dad, sister, and I have been staying one week a year here and it's just great. Also, it's across from the ocean and it's crazy how low the prices are to enjoy an affordable stay! Ignore the bad reviews, they just don't understand there's more to it than it being so disgusting to bare, when it's absolutely not."
