Reviews of Capital Club Apartments
"Katy and the office went above and beyond to help me move along with the process. I ran into some technological issues on my side but am grateful for their patience and understanding. I am very excited to move in."
"Where to begin? So many problems I am experiencing here. The quality to living has been on a steady decline. It used to be a nice community at one time and I would highly recommend. Now I must honestly say you’ve been warned. Look elsewhere. My experience has led me to the decision to move once my lease expires. I’ve been here going on two years and can Ill afford to make this move but my sanity demands the sacrifice. Problems are plentiful with no one in management willing to enforce the rules for a better and healthier living experience. The noise around here is out of control. Some neighbors have no respect, decency or civility. My neighbors are my alarm clock. From 0730 to 2130 running stomping and loud chatter. I have to leave my residence just to get peace. I reported this to management many times and it still continues. It’s like the twilight zone. What’s right is wrong what’s wrong is right. I’ve spoken to a few of my neighbors and they too are leaving at the end of their leases. We have similar situations. Loud music in the evening. Lack of parking due to some vehicles with expired tags on the premises. One vehicle from NC has tags with a 2020 decal? You ask for relief from management. They will not be of use to resolve anything. Just say what’s necessary to get you out of the office. , They do not care. It’s supposed to be a secure gated community. NOPE? Gates never worked since I’ve been here. Dog poop. You better watch your step. Won’t be hard to see. We don’t have grass here. Some dog owners here are selfish and won’t pick up after there pets. Plenty of poop stations. Amenities are very nice here but that too can pose problems such as loud unruly tenants not following the rules of time. Had to get this off my chest. I’ve decided this place is not for me and my spouse. I left a place in Charlotte in a bad neighborhood now I’m in a better neighborhood with Charlotte problems. It’s not all negative. There are some wonderful people here and hence the two stars. A simple letter reiterating the rules and enforcement. What’s the problem?"
"Really wanted to live here. The tour was great, so many awesome amenities. Was told at my tour that there was a unit available and I could apply for it (agent knew my move in date was not for a little over 2 months away). After viewing other properties, I decided to move ahead with applying. Well, the information I was provided was wrong. While I could apply, the apartment could not be held for more than a week and the price of rent skyrocketed trying to hold it for even a week. I emailed the agent who then called me and then her story changed. Essentially, you can't apply to live here until 1 week before your move in date, and at that time, there is no guarantee of any available unit or what the price would be. That is a huge red flag to be told one thing and then the story changes. Also, from reading other reviews, it appears the gate has been broken for months (it was wide open when I toured). Needless to say, another property I toured was willing to go the extra mile. They are holding a brand new apartment for me at today's rate and I will get their special of two months free rent. Sorry Capital Club, you lost a resident. Not only do your agents need more training, but you need to fix your gate and find out what you can do to ensure that people can apply for an apartment more than a week away from their move date. I've never not been able to apply at least 2 months in advance to an apartment. Had I chosen this place and then only been able to apply one week prior to move and you had no availability, then I'd have been left with no place to live."
"Lived there 2 years 8/21-8/23. Gates never worked, they "fixed" them multiple times, would have them in use for like a day then shut them down again. Dog park water features also never worked. Floors and walls are paper thin. I was in a middle floor, I had the people below me banging on their ceiling/my floor constantly because of the "noise" I was making -- just normal walking/living (never played music or anything, and was gone every other day staying with my bf). That being said I also constantly heard my upstairs neighbor walking around at 6am when they got up, could clearly hear drawers opening and shutting etc - which sucked I just didn't complain. If you were using facilities around the dog park (grills etc) the bathrooms never had toilet paper. People would always complain about other dog owners not pick up after their dogs, suggested to have more dog bag/trash stations put up, never happened (there should be one outside of every building, there's some at the dog park and like one or two others tops). Maintenance came while I was away on vacation and locked my door, which I get for security reasons, (I usually don't) so I didn't have my key on me. Went to the clubhouse and they said there's nothing they could do which was ridiculous so I left, the girl called me back finally saying they could use the master key if I had my ID card -- basically the front desk girl had no idea what she was talking about (this happened often). That being said I was still part of the FB group for the complex and I believe after I left they might have been putting in dog yards? so maybe that solved some of the issues. And as of when I left I didn't see the idiot front desk person working so maybe she's gone too (the people who assisted with my exit work seemed better although I returned the key and signed a form and they called me a week later asking for the key so maybe they're not on top of things either). IMO after two years for the price to sq ft/amenities ratio there are far better and better ran apartment complexes in the area."
"I have been living at the Capital Club for a couple of months now and have really enjoyed living here. I love my apartment. Katy at the front desk has always helped me with kindness and a smile. And the maintenance staff are great! They are very responsive. Mr. Robert always makes sure to leave a card telling me he’s been in my apartment and what work was done. The amenities and outdoor spaces are very lovely. My favorite spot is by far my own balcony. I love my shady outdoor space in the evenings. I am very happy living here."
