"The hotel was filthy. Stains on bedding, some lights broken and/or not working, could hear arguing through the walls, the back "security" door did not lock, there was chipped paint and broken tiles in the halls. I was traveling with someone else who selected and purchased or I would never have stayed here. Clerk did his job, saw no other employees. Gross place for guests to access microwave. One family was trying to heat up and eat their meal - the table was on one side and microwave on other of the back entry hallway, seemed awkward for them. Someone needs to buy this and redo it... or do away with it. Hey! I was able to sleep a few hours though (stayed dressed in what I'd worn that day. Didn't want any part of me touching that bed) and didn't get hurt here... not saying I FELT safe, but we made it! Advice: keep driving."
"We have stayed at this Motel 6 for years visiting family in the Cosby area. The last few times we have stayed, it seems like the quality and service has really changed. The elevator always smells like someone has been smoking in it. At this particular visit starting Thursday, 12/28/23, we had four people, two adults and two teenagers. There were only two towels in the room. When we asked for a couple more, the front desk lady wanted to know where the dirty ones were and she said we had to bring them down to get more. She did give us one regular sized towel and one of the bath mat sized ones, so I just used the one hand towel to dry off. We stayed three days, two nights, no housekeeping was done. No fridge in the room this time, some have them and some don’t, so be sure to ask if you have needs for medicine or anything like that. Lots of noise and loud talkers, but never anything to make us feel unsafe. Third floor is best, first floor is insanely noisy, but take the stairs if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke."
"Room 221, bed mattress was made in 07, very uncomfortable. Only 2 lights in the room worked. Bathroom was not clean, stains on the ceiling. But overall it wasn't the worst I've seen. Most of the problems are fixable. Oh and if you are a smoker this hotel is definitely for you, the whole hotel smells like a ashtray. Shower head is half working, just a stream, no spray. Almost like a waterhose."
"We stayed in room 106. The room looked like a crime scene. Seriously, there was a dark red substance smeared on the wall that we thought might be blood. The vent was dirty and dusty. We didn't even shower that's how gross the room was. The beds were old. The mattresses were thin and lumpy and the pillows were not a real pillow only a stuffed square of fabric. We only needed the room for 6 hours just a place to "sleep fast". We didn't ask to change rooms because the woman at the front desk wasn't approachable. Less than a week later there was a wanted felon arrested for probation violation found with heroin, 100s of dollars in cash and a "lady friend". Check out the local paper website to find the article. We will NEVER stay there again. Again we usually stay at the Hampton Inn but we were desperate for a room and thought for 6 hours $79 wasn't a bad price. Do not stay here."
"The room looked nice at first, until we decided to go to bed. The sheets were stained with god knows what. We were also told that the pool was open and functional, however I would never step foot in a pool looking like that especially a public one. The bathroom light would randomly turn off when we were in there using it and would not turn back on. The elevator was rickety and seemed rather dangerous actually. I understand it’s a motel 6 so I shouldn’t have expected a lot but this is just ridiculous. Especially for $130 a night!! We won’t be back."
