"Decided to try this place after seeing some TikToks about it. Was extremely excited because of how pretty it looked and the advertised three levels. Buuuutttttttt this is the stuff Keith Lee was talking about with Atlanta restaurants (Charlotte doesn’t seem far behind). We walked in and the place was empty and DJ first arriving. The hostess sat us and the first thing she told us was we had to finish by 11pm or we have to abide by the “table minimum” since it turns into a lounge. Once greeted by the server she was pretty nice but customer service was not anything to remember. Ordered our food and it took over 45 minutes for it to come. Which made no sense since we were the only ones in there when we ordered. While we waited we asked to see other levels. We were told we couldn’t because it didn’t “open” until 10pm. When we finally got our food it was “mid” for the price point it was at. I ordered the Cajun pasta and it was very under seasoned and the shrimp was overcooked. My husband ordered the salmon bites, they were also under seasoned and was an extremely small portion for the cost. On did I mention they gave us plastic silverware…I’m sorry what, for the cost of the food we should have gold forks smh. The one level we saw was pretty, but if three levels were advertised it should be what we can see. I definitely would not choose to go here again."
"Birthday brunch with a few friends. Very cute concept. Small plates, drinks and drink specials for Brunch. This was only their second brunch so there were a few hiccups. I think the chicken and waffles could be better. Chicken should be either bigger chicken tenders or chicken wings. Very small dish. The nuggets that were used were a little overcooked. The shrimp and grits were excellent! They did not skimp on shrimp or flavor. Avocado toast and steak and eggs we're good. One of the highlights with brunch was the birthday incentives! Free bottle of prosecco and French toast treat for the table. Nice day party vibe. Need more sitting downstairs or open upstairs for more seating with tables. Not enough parking available. FYI this is for adults only."
"This is going to be a long review and I implore you to read the whole thing. This is also the first and hopefully only one star review I’ve ever given. I’ve done hundreds of reviews and I can safely say Eden Of Plaza in Charlotte, North Carolina was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in my life. And I’m 50 years old- well that’s the first thing. My friend and I went to Eden on a Saturday, September 23rd at 4PM. We were asked to show ID which is obviously laughable, but I understand. The hostess kept saying they were watching her on the camera so she had to check ID. Obviously I’m way over 21 and had no problem with that but she sort of kept going on and on and on about it that they were watching her and kept making comments that we were way over 21. Whatever, she’s probably 25 but I’d like to see what she looks like when she’s 50. At that point, my friend and I should’ve probably turned around and left but decided to stay bc we have been wanting to try it. The hostess went on to say that only the first floor was open because it was so early and that it gets busy at 10 PM. We just said we wanted a drink and a snack. We sat down at the bar and the bartender Juliet was very nice. We each ordered one drink and decided to order two appetizers. We ordered fries and brussel sprouts. We were drinking our drinks and thought nothing of it until 30 minutes later when we realized we still haven’t received our food. We nicely told the bartender that we would like to cancel our food order. Of course a minute later, the food came out and she asked if we still wanted it and we said no so she sent over what we thought was the manager. THIS IS WHERE IT GOES BONKERS- The manager (she said she was the AGM) asked why we didn’t want our food and we said it took over 30 minutes. She said she was going to check the order and get back with us. A few minutes later, she came up with a receipt and said we ordered at 4:02 and the food came out at 4:32. She then went on a diatribe how brussel sprouts take 30 minutes. My friend and I laughed in her face and asked her her name (THIS IS THE BEST)- she would not tell us her name. We asked her two more times and she refused. I explained to her three times that I was going to write a review and I’m going to describe her and she didn’t seem to care. She was medium skin with long curly darkish hair- medium build. She was trying to resolve the situation but when she said brussel sprouts take 30 minutes, we lost all respect. What about the fries?? They should take 10 mins tops!!! They took our food off the bill and we paid. The icing on the cake was that a 20% gratuity was included and they had nerve to have another line for an extra tip! Lol!! And the drink was $20 (not with it). I would’ve given her 20% anyway because she was the highlight of our lackluster experience. I did like my drink even though it was a little weak. I will NEVER, EVER EVER go back to Eden and I’m making sure to tell all my neighbors about my experience. Well they are over 30 so they probably wouldn’t be welcome there anyway!!! If someone from the restaurant reads this, would you be able to let me know why she didn’t want to give her name? I’m super curious as to why. This happened on Saturday, September 23. Thx!!"
"Came to Eden with a few friends to celebrate . Good DJ. Ambiance and decor are beautiful. This was the highlight of the outing for us. Drink and food cost unfortunately didn't match the experience for us. The taste of the food and drinks were good, but the detail that was put into the decor did not translate over to the dishes and cocktails. I had the Sinful Delight Cocktail for $19.00 , I expected an elevated experience, but it arrived like a Jack and Coke on a crumbled napkin. The flavor was good . Food, we tried the short rib tacos, fried cauliflower ,bangbang shrimp, apple turnovers, and papas bravas( steak fries in truffle oil, taste good though). Food flavor was good, and are tapas( small plate) portions. Because of wait time, the chef sent over their peach caprese to our table complimentary. This was the most creative dish and stood out to me amongst the other dishes. We arrived alittle before 8pm on a Friday night, they were out of Brussels sprouts and house tequila already. Service- Now, our server was a sweet girl, but had to walk away several times to find out answers to some of our menu questions . We couldn't explore the top floors because they were closed. A few friends ordered margaritas, the bartender came over to tell us they were out of their house tequila and would have to upcharge them for top shelf. Personal opinion, but customers shouldn't pay an upcharge for an inventory shortage. They also couldn't do a sugar rim for their drinks, again just unexpected for a cocktail bar experience. They have a no split/ one check per table policy. This should be listed on their website. One person opens a tab and has to give up their credit card for the table's bill. 20% Gratuity is also added to each check. At the end, we had to wait 15 min after we closed out our tab and signed the receipt to get our credit card back. All this being said, plus parking issues. (Virtually non-existent and towing enforced heavily around this area. ) It was a decent experience but not the one we expected. Hopefully, with time, some of these things will be revamped, and we may give it another try."
"Great location and venue. The bread on the charcuterie board was amazing. We substituted the gin in the Oasis punch for tequila, and it was really good. The forbidden fruit cocktail was also good. Tried one of the signature hookahs, and it was ok, could have been better for the price. Overall, everything was great and will def be back."
