"Not very attractive, steep access making it difficult to get the boats into the water. Level 1 rapids just below entry will make it impossible to return. We chose Fall River Lake instead. Beautiful lake."

"4 miles around 1.5 hours to City Of Raleigh Milburnie Dam Canoe Access at a very leisurely pace. Some spots are quite shallow but it is a very nice paddle."

"Nice area to kayak, river fairly low. Could touch bottom with paddle. Limited parking. Not too far to carry kayaks. Bit noisy with the highway so close. Numerous easy places to pull in and get out to picnic"
