"Newly appointed Pastor Rusty G keeps your attention with his dynamic personality and towering presence in this beautiful setting. His sermon about having enough faith to walk on water when Jesus commanded his disciple was inspirational. The organist and small choir did their best to lead us in many uplifting hymns. As a visitor of several churches I think these pews will fill up quickly as word of Rev. Rusty's return to his hometown goes viral on social media. Plenty of parking for two Sunday services. Watched 4th of July Gatlinburg fireworks from their lot. Lots of stairs inside to go to different levels."

"I have been a skeptic of this church and the Methodist Church in general for many years. But, this summer, my kids attended VBS at GUMC. It was fun, educational, and Jesus was worshiped. The love and generosity of the people there was amazing. I was wrong in my long held opinions on this congregation. As for Jane Taylor which another reviewer mentioned, she has moved on to another church though I am not sure the name of her replacement."
