"DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PUT YOUR MONEY IN SKYLA. if your bank account information is stolen and someone is just spending all of your money, if it's after hours they tell you sorry go to a branch on Monday. So your bank is literally so incompetent that they can't handle fraud claims on a Friday and tell me to wait until Monday. I'll be there Monday alright to move all 4 accounts including my business account to a reputable bank that has a legit fraud department!!!"

"Had issue with an old debit card and had to get a replacement. The card maker at the Harris Blvd location was down so they sent me here. The teller was very dismissive and disrespectful. When I went to use my new card it kept declining, I called customer service and told them about the issue and the teller at the bank only added my savings account to my debit card. Like huh? Why would you think that’s how I want to use my debit card. Most likely the teller won’t be reprimanded because Skyla doesn’t take complaints seriously unless it involves them and the BBB. I thought I had it fixed because I was able to use my debit card after speaking with a lady on the phone. I used my card I believe 3 times and then it stopped. I spoke again with someone via chat on the app who told me the card was again not linked to my checking but instead my savings. The fact it’s been a week and still can’t get this issue resolved has made it clear that I need find another bank to use. After only a year of being in business here I’m very disappointed and will notify others to use a different bank. I’ll be closing my account when I get paid next and switch to another bank that values complaints the customers make for an employees mistake."

"I applied for an auto loan at the Sunset Rd location. My initial encounter was with Katie George, who was patient, discussed my options with me and completed my loan application. The approval process was quick and easy. I returned to the branch to sign my documents and was assisted by Karla (did not get her last name). Karla was friendly and explained each document in detail. In all, this, was a pleasant experience and the ladies at this location are great at what they do!"

"What can I say?. I should have done this review long ago, back when it was still called Charlotte Metro Credit Union. But, the most important thing is that I am now doing it. In the most basic of layman's terms; the differences(of which there are many)between mega-banks and Credit Unions is that Credit Unions are theoretically non-profit organizations. This means that them making a profit is secondary. They must make a profit to stay open and expand. But, they are not beholden to profit seeking shareholders. Unfortunately, at all of the mega-banks that I've ever had any dealings with; you are only a number and algorithm if you will. Customer service at the mega-banks seems to have gone the way of the dinosaur. It's extinct. It's no longer there. Skyla Credit Union is the exact opposite. Customer service is absolutely phenomenal, and they pride themselves on it. As they should. I opened my accounts at the branch on Wilkinson blvd and deal primarily with the branch on Sunset Rd, since it's near my home. If I ever need to speak with a representative at any branch, all I need to do is sign in, and they'll be calling your name shortly. As opposed to the mega-banks, where I literally need to make an appointment. Do you have 20$ laying around?. You can open up your own account with literally no minimum.
