Reviews of Buckquarter Creek Trailhead
"Visiting NC and wanted to take a hike while hubby was working. This was a beautiful trail and I saw a very large Heron and a few other people out, but no crowds whatsoever. The visitor center was open and had very clean restrooms! When we go back to visit NC next year, I will definitely return. Love NC."
"Slightly hilly trail with great scenery. Saw frogs, bright green beetles, and beautiful lush trees. For anyone around the Eno, this is a must see."
"Lovely and easy trail along the river. You can walk at your own pace. Trail is natural and you will find some broken branches etc as expected. You will find natural sitting places (large fallen tree trunks) to relax a bit. After some time you will cross a bridge. Great scenery!!!"
"This trail is well worth the hike! The artwork of God was beautiful and amazing!! It had rained the day before and sprinkled some the morning we came so the trail had some standing water and muddy in parts. The is a moderate trail to me due to the unevenness of the rock steps and the change in elevation in some parts. This trail will be difficult for young children. The River was gorgeous with all the rapids! The deck allows to to overlook the rapids. You can tell how high the River has risen and overflowed out of its banks. We heard a lot of birds and saw a few squirrels but no other wildlife. There are many rocks and roots in the trails so watch your step. There was lots of very interesting trees and fungus! We had an awesome time- well worth the hike!!"
"I loved the trails. They were easy to navigate and well kept. The sights are beautiful. The river is gorgeous and clean. Only downside is that there is a lot of people."
