Reviews of Zegna Global Store
"I had a smaple of the fragrance from Bloomingdales that I had tossed someplace amoung my collection of various samples. I forgot about it but then saw it and gave it a try. Low and behold this fragrance was magnificant. Long lasting, with a finishing note that stayed and was haunting in a delicate and memorable way. It took me a little while to located the place to purchase it because Bloomies no longer carried it. Going to the Zenga store was no treat. I felt like the sales staff decended upon me, it was uncomfortable, even for an UES that grew un in Manhattan. None the less I left the shop with my fragrance. The fragrance must have been reformulated because it is not the same as the one in the sample. The fragrance I bought goes on strong, and dries down to have no scent at all. It's a blast of fragrance and then nothing, like a door slamming. It's a beautiful shop and the clothes are great, too bad the frangance is an after thought."
"Being from Arizona, no trip to New York City is complete without a little shopping, and we were extremely lucky and fortunate to visit the Zegna, global flagship store on 57th. I was looking to replace a favorite clothing item that I had worn for years due to its extreme comfort and durability. My wife and I had the great luck to meet with Tony Garriett, who not only exemplified the brand as its perfect ambassador, but was just one of those sincere, kind and affable individuals that really takes it way beyond just a shopping experience. He even gave us a recommendation to a restaurant that we visited three nights later, which was of course, fantastic. But even beyond Tony’s great job, I want to give credit to Zegna for making men’s clothing, stylishly Italian, but not over the top, goofy (well ok, maybe a few things…)like other current designers. We are looking forward to our next visit and will definitely contact Tony for any thing we need while back in our home state!"
"Shockingly poor customer service. My friend's child wanted to take a photo of the stuffed sheep in this store displayed above their shoe selection. A clerk named Andrew sternly told us photos were not permitted in the store. This while I observed another customer clearly taking a photo or video with their phone undisturbed."
"I went in to return a sweater I had received as a holiday gift, still in the box, with a receipt. At the time I went in, there were zero customers on the ground floor, and about five salespeople talking to each other. The first salesperson I spoke to referred me to a second salesperson. The second one spent about three minutes standing in front of me finishing his personal texting before then asking me a series of questions (like the name and address of the person who bought the sweater). It then turned out he couldn’t help with a return either and abruptly left, leaving me to wait for a third salesperson (Monica). After being criticized for not having the card used to buy the sweater (which, again, was a gift), after some cajoling the third salesperson finally processed the return, by crediting the amount of the sweater to the purchaser’s card. So much for not having to tell the purchaser I returned the gift, or getting store credit, or any other solution. Honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had at a high end store. I guess their motto is “the customer is always an inconvenience.”"
