Reviews of Joe Coffee Company
"I really didn’t want to take it as personal, but seriously, what kind of attitude this female barista has who’s always working in the morning? I’ve been using this place for over a year, for consistent 4-5 months in the past year, but I stopped ordering from here for a while because of her rude and ignorant attitude. Today, I tried to give it a try one more time and placed an order ahead for pick up. When I got there, she was talking to one of the customers and making the other hot coffees at the same time, the talking never stopped so I had to wait next to them for another 5 mins as in a hurry to work. Finally when the conversation was paused while she was announcing the drink to the other customer, I asked her if my pick up order is ready yet. She tried to start pouring regular coffee all of a sudden and asked what kind of milk I want, I had to remind her I already placed an order for pick up. From that point, she didn’t say any single words, no confirmation for my order at all, picked out the order ticket which seemed like was abandoned behind, made the drink and put it in front of me without saying any words. And she’s back to the chat with that customer again. I just have to say this is definitely one of the worst, rudest service I got. I hate to mention it but can’t help myself since I’ve been treated in this way for a whole time, that I never forgot to tip at least $1 on the top of the $7 for a large flavored latte for every orders, today as well, and this is what I got so far. There’re a plenty of options in NYC to get a better coffee and way better service at the same time. There is no need to spend your money to the place that doesn’t know how to show you the basic respect and manners."
"My best friend and I wanted to get something warm while in Grand Central and she chose here. The line wasn’t too long and it took about 5 minutes for us to get to order. The cashier was friendly and knowledgeable as I navigated my thoughts on what to order and what size. I ordered a large hot chocolate with oat milk. The price was $6.75. It was very tasty. The balance between the hot chocolate and the milk was great. I wished it quickly. The only thing I wished for was that there was an oat or almond-based whipped cream to go with it. Otherwise, if I need hot chocolate I would head back here!"
"I approached the cashier to place my order and observed the staff engaged in a personal conversation. After a considerable wait, I was acknowledged by a barista who appeared visibly irritated. To my surprise, several items I ordered were said to be unavailable, despite clearly visible stock on the counter. Upon their inquiry about additional preferences for my tea and my affirmative response, I was dismissively told they couldn't accommodate. As I was finalizing my payment, another customer queued up behind me, and almost immediately, another staff member indicated I should hurry, implying I was delaying the queue, even though I had been at the counter for less than two minutes. I am left pondering if there was a case of mistaken identity. Regardless, the service was undeniably poor and lacked professionalism. I regret to say I will not be patronizing this Joe's again. To encapsulate my customer experience: "Disappointing.""
"The place is quite convenient to get a coffee before getting on the train... I costomize the newly released ice lavender early grey latte and ordered it as less lavendar. EXTREMELY GOOD for those who like these flavors!"
"In Grand Central in you want great coffee, you gotta go to Joe's. Just went back to Joe's, and met Cesar (see pics) friendly and makes going to get your coffee and croissant even better-- also, a very pleasant lady at the register."
