"Nice, spacious rooms. Great staff and hot breakfast. We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels. We enjoyed the coffee and tea station in the lobby. The location was great for our needs, needing to be close to route 24, but this isn't the most convenient for downtown Charlotte. This location was also close to Ikea, around 4-5 minutes."
"TL;DR: great room, poor breakfast. Easy check-in (we walked in without a res late at night), the young man at the front desk was friendly and delightful. Pristinely clean (kudos to the housekeeping staff); clean enough to walk on carpet barefoot. Bathroom is your typical low-ceiling space, hastily renovated by slapping waterline-high, solid stone-colored panels on shower walls, held together by a half-inch wide, sloppy caulk job - not fancy, but fresh and pleasant. And sparkling clean. They still use spring mattresses (so you can feel your partner's every turn), not very thick, and barely any padded layer on top of the springs. We've only slept on foam or air for years, so it was a rude awakening. The mattress also has a fair amount of give - we slept fine, but could be too soft for someone with a bad back. Sheets bright-white and fresh. Room very quiet - no sound at all from outside or from any neighbors (even though it was almost fully booked and we heard people enter neighboring rooms). Perfectly black-out curtains, and a nice view on some trees and nature. Yes, oddly dim LED lighting in the sitting area (we received a suite) but not a big deal. AC was on in the room even though it was late October, but it warmed up fast enough after we switched to heat - a bit of burning smell as the unit turned over to heat, but it passed quickly, nothing to get excited about if you're in this situation. Surprisingly good coffee in the room and common area. But sadly, breakfast was indeed very bad - I never believed it's possible until this stay. The scrambled eggs were truly gross - not only made from powder, but further cut with flour or starch. I actually couldn't finish and threw them in trash, for the first time in my life! The waffle machine was broken, and instead of making up for it with some pastries, they had a single variety of mini-muffins and no other baked goods. But all in all, incredible catch, considering the very reasonable price and the horrifying reviews for virtually everything else around Charlotte under $$$$. Would definitely stay again, and probably the only place I would stay if I ever had to visit again."
"We picked the hotel for the location close to the Charlotte Speedway for the Auto Fair in September. The king "suite" was very spacious, a lot of extra room but the mini refrigerator "cube" was on the floor tucked in a corner nearly behind the sofa. So we had to get down on the floor to see inside, and it wouldn't hold much either. There was no way to regulate the temperature, so everything was either frozen or not cold enough. Fortunately we had a family beach trip the week before, so we had 3 extra coolers that we had to keep full of ice for our drinks and extra food. There was plenty of room in the "sink" cabinet that could have fit a larger fridge, that used to be there. We were told that all these brand hotels were switching to the tiny cube fridge. Major disappointment for the size of the room and the cost. The bathroom door hit the toilet every time it was open, so it was cramped. The smoke detector was falling off the wall with exposed wires. So if Choice Hotels are cutting back on amenities just to save their wallets, then we will not be staying in any of them."
"Stayed in room #133. Spacious, clean and smelled fresh. Amenities were good. Breakfast was from 6am to 9:30am. Great variety in breakfast options! Free WiFi and adjacent parking. Danielle was great at check-in very friendly and engaging. Holly is fantastic too! Second stay 9/29/23-10/1/23: Stayed in room #337. Everything was great! Great service with Danielle. Glad we were able to stay with them again!"
"This was an amazing experience for my family. Very clean, they sanatize everything, clean the rugs with a heavy duty machine I mean efficient. I am impressed. although the pool is closed, I wish the pool was open it looks amazing. Everyone is really nice I appreciate you all for being here I would have liked the price to be a bit better. It is probably best not to go through a 3rd party. The atmosphere is calming. I absolutely love the section where the plants are for you to relax . I am impressed and thankful at the same time. P. S I'd hope to stay here free a couple of times with my family I love it here. Complements to the chief I admire her dedication. Thank you to every employee that worked on this day stay amazing"
