Reviews
"Great location, nice room bed tv. Horrible small car entrance, Awkarwd parking half block away down a very narrow side walk, Interior hallway floors dirty, elevators dirty and smelled, Shower drain partially cloged and slow drained, Hotel tried to add items from Market Place to my bill that did not purchase - so check your receipt before you leave"
"Ill give this hotel credit where due. The room was very nice, and the location was fantastic for what we needed. The reason for this review however is that the customer service is damn near criminally abysmal. Upon check in I was charged not only the incidentals deposit but also for the night which had already been paid via priceline a week before. After multiple phone calls and a week later I finally called corporate and the money was refunded. I was lied to by at least 3 different employees that claimed they had gladly issued my refund for me but it ended up not actually being processed for 6 days per corporate. So watch what you are being charged, not sure what the game is with this funhouse but they are up to something. Hopefully the General Manager will get out of his "meetings" he seems to always be in when you call long enough to see this review. Good luck to anyone else staying at this place."
"Only positive from this location was the location to the Spectrum, bellhop, Jose, I believe, and the kind bartender who worked on Friday, Jan 19th! She was the saving grace for this hotel. Otherwise here are the cons: 1) Poor customer service from the beginning. Upon arrival, I was not greeted in the standard Diamond member way (by thanking me for being a Diamond member). I was not given cookies or water and the agent seemed to be in a rush. I ultimately had to ask for my perks. 2) Cookies were hard as a brick. Atypical for what Doubletree is known for anyway. 3) Parking was not fully explained so we ended up paying $56 to get out of the parking lot when it should have been included in the hotel folio. 4) The room was super dark and lacked room to move around. 5) The night before checkout, I personally went to the desk to request late check out, I was told by an agent I could do 12:30 but for anything later to call the following morning to see if they had time available for us to do so. When I called at 10 a.m. I was told the original agent had not left any notes and we had to go at 12. Overall, this entire stay was lackluster and I am extremely disappointed. I frequent Hilton brand and am loyal, hence my Diamond status but this stay was extremely disappointing. Next time, we may have to stay at the Marriott brand which is essentially closer to Spectrum center (we were in town for a ball game) and lose the opportunity to get my Hilton points to have a decent stay and visit. Very disappointed in the overall service."
