"Being a male I don't go in this store often, maybe 3 times. Each time the girls working were very smug and short when I ask a question. No attempt to offer other products. No thank you, have a nice day, goodbye. Took my money and said nothing."

"I went here today not expecting to purchase anything. Venus, with the purple hair, seemed like she knew ALOT! So I came at her with some hair questions for my daughters sake. She definitely knew what she was talking about. 5 items later and me and my daughter are as happy as can be. 4 hair products that make us both extremely happy, and to make my daughter happy when it comes to her hair, well thats a hard thing to do. Also got a lotion for us a both. But let me tell you this. None of the products have aloe, which my daughter is allergic to. Nothing is a heavy weighted product, which made us happy. The scent of all the products were light but just so Dreamy. And lotion oh lotion, it was not heavy on the skin, not oily at at, the scent was amazing. There was so much stuff there. I just wanted to buy it all. I will definitely be back for sure. 5 stars, 2 thumbs up. Way to go Venus. You absolutely rock."

"Keesha, the Assistant Manager, was more than helpful in picking out the correct color, hair treatments, and supplies. She really knows the products and was quick to point me in the right direction. Plus it doesn't hurt that she is super sweet and easy to talk to you. I will definitely be back to see her!"

"I can't say enough about how helpful and kind the employees are at this store! I have never stepped into a Sally's anywhere else and been treated better! From one coast to the other! I've been to many Sally's over the years in several different states. The customer service doesn't compare to this store! They will completely answer your questions. They clearly have extensive knowledge of the products. I knew what I was getting before I went in and I had an idea of how much it would cost. The two employees working both sold me several better and more expensive products. They explained to me in detail why I needed these products instead. I definitely spent more than I planned on but my hair also came out so much better! Best of all it is healthier than if I had chosen the other products I had planned on purchasing!!!"

"I visited the Hickory store three times in the last month to purchase my hair gel of choice and they didn't have it (due to low stock). They suggested I try another brand until they got mine in (at NO RISK because I could get a refund if I didn't like it). I tried the brand they suggested, but it made my hair flat. I promptly returned it for a refund. The clerk at the Hickory store, pressured me into trying yet another brand that she said many people like. I was reluctant because I didn't want to waste my money. She again assured me that it was at no risk because I could get a full refund if I didn't like it. This was on 12/4/2020. I tried it twice but it didn't provide the volume for my hair that it promised, so I went to return it. Upon entering the store, they quickly informed me they weren't taking returns due to COVID as of 12/12/20 and now had a sign posted at the checkout. This is a decision made by their company specifically because I immediately went to another store (not Sally's) and received a prompt refund for another item I had purchased. This caused me to question them further about promising a refund just a week ago (the same clerk that made the promise was the one telling me I couldn't get a refund). They just apologized (not very sympathetically) and couldn't tell me when I could get a refund. At my request, they gave me the number to customer service if I wanted to complain. I immediately called customer service and explained my frustration. I felt very patronized by them even after speaking to a supervisor. My family owns a business, and we know the importance of being true to our word. My receipt is dated 12/4 which is dated before 12/12, when the no returns policy was implemented. I explained I would have no problem if I was informed prior to the purchase or if the return policy had been changed by the officials (out of their control). However, this was a company decision. I believe they should honor returns from purchases made prior to 12/12, even if they have to throw the product away. As a business, your word is your word. Without trust and integrity, a company won't have returning customers and won't make it for the long haul! They get to decide when they will give me my refund (virtually holding my money hostage). What's right about that?!!?! I will never shop at Sally Beauty again and I will tell everyone I know about my experience with them. I'll pay three times the price for the product before they ever get a dime of my money again! If I don't get a satisfactory answer or a prompt refund, my next step is to share my story on social media."
