Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charlotte - South End, an IHG Hotel

"Terrible experience with services. My husband visited a friend in Charlottes for first time. He got drunk and got lost from his friend. I was home which was 4hrs away. It took me awhile to locate him and I ordered a lyft to drive him to nearest hotel so he not freezed to dead on the street. He was able to give his card to check in but he wasn’t sober enough to find his room. He was not aggressive at all, if he had any sign of aggressive they already called the cop. He told me he asked for help but noone helped him. I even called the receptionist but she said she wouldn’t do anything because of policy and she couldn’t verify who I am to even talk to me about him. I got it and I just begged her to help him get to the room because he was freezing. I didn’t understand a big hotel and she couldn’t call a security guard to help my husband. I believe there was one because I was on the phone with him the whole time and some guy led him to the receptionist. Finally his friend found my husband in the lobby and took him home. And they still charged $250 for no room no help. After this experience we will avoid Holiday Inn. I used to worked in hotels and I would have done more to provide better service and be more helpful."

"I just loved every bit of this hotel. It's very well-maintained. Firstly, the parking has a Tesla charger, which is very helpful. It's also located in the center of Charlotte, which makes it a super accessible location. The rooms are very cozy and well-equipped and have all the basic amenities. We had a complimentary breakfast containing cereals, bread, omelets, two varieties of fruits, juices, and, of course, hot beverages. Overall, I was impressed with this hotel."

"Had a really wonderful stay while in town for my brother's wedding in the area! The whole experience was awesome and the staff was friendly and courteous! We have a big family that was staying in multiple rooms and the hotel lobby was nice to come together at night and hang out. The terrace was nice at night time to sit out on with family or inside watching the football games on the TV. It was walking distance to several nice restaurants and breweries. Only downside was having to pay for parking but even that was easy and didn't take much time and easy to do through the QR code. I recommend for a great location and nice rooms."

"Easy check-in and check-out with very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms and common areas are very clean. The hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants and night spots. I didn't go downtown, but there was a nice view of downtown, and it wasn't far from the hotel."

"This hotel is perfect for hosting conferences and events. The beautiful, modern facilities provided an ideal setting for our 3-day company conference. Everything went off without a hitch in the large conference room. Sales manager Peggy and Toni were fantastic to work with. If you're considering venues, I highly recommend checking out this hotel over even the posh uptown options. The cleanliness, service, and execution here exceeded my expectations."
