"A nice way to learn a little Shallote history and take a pleasant walk at the same time. I know they have plans for more development on the site and hopefully they will add restrooms or a snack or both in the future."
"It does not matter if you have been a resident of Shallotte for many years or if you are a visitor who comes to the beach and just go to Shallotte to buy groceries or something else. I encourage you to go to this Riverwalk and see the other face of Shallotte. Very nice view and (despite the mosquitoes) it is worth it. Just try to pick a time of the day where there are no mosquitoes, or bring a good repellent and you will be just fine."
