"Nice food, great ambiance, and service. Enjoyed our time there. We were a large group, and the area they offered had privacy, and it felt great. Our host was very accommodating and didn't for a second, gave us an impression that she was tried, which usually happens with waitrers serving large groups. I am giving 5 stars for the service, food was 4 stars."

"I chose this place for a fine-dining date night. We spent $220 after tip for two people, and for the price, the food was very good and the were portions were generous. The staff was attentive without rushing us. The down side was the atmosphere. I didn't expect that there would be so many kids. To be seated next to a crying baby and a toddler walking around the table was a damper on the experience."

"This was our first time eating at Monroe’s, our daughter picked your restaurant for her birthday dinner and we all couldn’t be more pleased with everything. The server was pleasant and professional, our food came in a timely manner and was delicious! Look at the size of the lobster in the Mac and Cheese, all the portions were like this. We will return soon to enjoy the atmosphere and food, we will definitely recommend Monroe’s to our friends and family. Thank you for an enjoyable evening."

"If you asked what restaurant is my favorite in Rochester.. I'd excitedly tell you, Monroe's! I love date nights here. It's beautiful inside and outside. The atmosphere and staff are always pleasant. I love the fact that every night has different specials and desserts. During the winter, you can eat outside in a little heated igloo!!! I still have so many more plates to try and can't wait for my next visit."

"We’ve been looking forward to this dinner for a while. Have to say, we were a little disappointed. The service was initially very slow, but she perked up after we had to go to ask for service. The drinks, appetizers and atmosphere were excellent which earned the 3 stars. Dinner was mediocre at best. Lacking flavor but really huge servings. We were a table of six and we all brought some home, which doesn’t normally happen. I really don’t appreciate the automatic 22% gratuity on a party of six. I usually directly give the appropriate tip associated with the service received. This would have been maybe 18% at best. That should be my choice. We probably won’t be back. Not recommended."
