"Not particularly my most favorite lake, but I know a lot of people have great memories there and I love to look at it. My father used to ride his motorcycles with his brother and friends through the valley when they cleared all of the trees out. I used to have family that lived in the valley a long time ago. It's a beautiful lake though and serves a great purpose."

Great for scuba diving, boating, swimming, jetskiing, and fishing. If you want to see waterfalls or explore amazing shorelines (when the water level is low enough), then this is the place for you. You'll not find another lake quite like this anywhere in the Southern Appalachians. The biodiversity of the Jocassee Gorges is among the highest anywhere in the US."
