"The most comfortable and inviting hostel I’ve ever been to!!! The hosts are amazing people and are true, kind spirited souls. I could tell this place is a true hikers hostel, ready and outfitted for all hiker needs. Be sure to ask about their shuttle service, they offer slack packing for the area and are more than willing to accommodate a hikers pace and needs. The most notable experience was the food, by far the best comfort food I’ve had in the southern Appalachian area. They will wash your laundry for you and make sure you are recharged for your next mileage on the AT. An added bonus are the ultra comfortable beds! I will most certainly return!"

"Huge shout out to Donna & Bill! They were absolutely amazing people and hostel owners. They picked us up at Unicoi Gap (they also visit Dick’s Creek Gap and other nearby stops) last minute and brought us to their hostel, new as of August 2023. They had a Sept. special going of $50 per person. This included shuttle to and from the trail and resupply store, laundry, wi-fi, dinner, breakfast, loner clothes, and a bunk. Also, they offered to slackpack us the very next day with no extra cost. They went above and beyond and made us feel like family. They even hiked in and met us 2 miles in when my sis’ leg was giving out on her, and helped hike her out. We couldn’t have asked for a better hostel experience."
