Reviews of Hen House Nashville Hot Chicken
"We came here on recommendation by a few friends and were not disappointed. Our to-go sandwiches and chicken tenders were delicious! The serving sizes were huge. The chicken was fresh, flavorful, and hot. The fries were great, too. We’ll definitely be back again soon."
"A coworker recommended this place and I'm so happy for it! You get your money's worth. Big portions and everything well seasoned. My favorite is the Cheese Bird, it hits the spot every time. I'm not a fan of the coleslaw by itself but it's amazing on the sandwich thanks to the hen sauce. The Mac and cheese my son had would be better if it was more gooey (it was a little watery) but still tasted amazing. I still give it all 5 stars because the service was good, they have enough parking space, the bathroom was clean and there's enough tables to eat in. Definitely recommend!"
"I tried Hen House last night down at Briar Brothers. I snagged the 3 piece tender meal with fries. The good: Service was solid for a food truck and super convenient. Just scan a qr code from one of the signs in the brewery, put in order, pay and bam, someone runs you your food whenever it's ready. Wait wasn't bad either especially for the Bills crowd that was there. You get a pretty large portion of food. Usually I can throw down 3 tenders easily but between those, the fries and the bread I was unable to finish it all. Seasoning is on point, I got medium and the flavor was really good. The Not so good part: Maybe this is the way nashville does it but the fried batter on the chicken was not attached to the chicken. Good luck breaking apart any of the fingers because you lose all the breading. Ultimately I had one side of my dish as naked chicken tenders and the other side as fried breading. Even just biting into the chicken caused the breading to fall off. The chicken without the breading was bland and extremely tough. Chicken should be juicy but this was dried out to the point of no return. Overall, I think the 2 issues that I had were probably because the fryers were set too high as a temp or cooked too long. I may give it another try but I'm not rushing back, there are many other places around the city that have amazing chicken fingers"
"Ordered the Hot Hen Sandwich with no slaw, with HOT heat level…it was enormous, probably weighs a pound, the chicken was juicy and the breading was spiced perfectly hot with great flavor! Sauce is delicious, bun is super fresh. Side of fries is huge as well, crinkle cut with a little pepper. Get you one of these ASAP."
"I was warned ahead of time that the family fingers dinner will feed at least 4 adults. 10 fingers lasted the 2 of us about 4 meals each. We got medium spicy, which was nice and spicy. Just right for me. I also got the Taki mac salad. Dinner came with fries and 6 dipping sauces. I live for the sauces and these were yummy. Hen sauce, honey mustard and barbecue were all delicious. The fingers were spicy and crispy. I will be back to try the Mac and cheese and onion rings next time. Very casual family diner looking restaurant, but we had takeout this time."
