Reviews of Arkaquah Trailhead
"Not an easy hike, but it pays big for your effort. The views are beautiful and go on forever."
"Challenging route. The first 1.75 miles were the roughest part. There's one area that has washed out some but there are ropes to lend a helping hand. Once you make it to the top of the trail you can walk about .75 mile to the top of Brasstown bald. Great views just not the day I went. So worth the trek if that's what your into. Hug a loved one."
"Really great hike that has plenty of varied elevation changes (it’s not just a boring slog straight uphill). Definitely difficult but the views and trail were worth it!"
"This trail is absolutely beautiful! It is right around 5.5 miles from the parking lot on Track Rock Rd to the lower parking lot on top of Brasstown Bald. The first 2 miles of the trail is very difficult. It goes straight up hill. Once you get past this point you will pretty much hike along the ridge of the mountain the rest of the way up which is more moderate. If you hike all the way up to the top of Brasstown Bald to the observation deck, tack on another 1.5 miles to your hike. In total the hike will be 11-14 miles round trip!"
"One of the best hikes in Georgia, this challenging and rewarding trail passes by several incredible vistas on its way to the Brasstown Bald parking area. With no established campsites, it is best used as a day hiking trail. But be prepared for a long day. The round trip hike is over 12 miles, with around 4200 feet of elevation gain."
