The Healthy Cafe Catering Co. is professional, well-respected in the community, has an expansive menu, top-notch response time, accommodates all sorts of tastes, events, and budgets, and of course... their food is absolutely delicious. No, I don't have any affiliation with anyone who works for/in this company. I hired this company for a baptism reception in November and guests (including the picky eaters) are still raving about the incredible food months later! More details if you're that person... (hello like-minded stranger!) Professionalism: Marissa was extremely helpful from start to finish and made the entire process so simple. She was the only person I communicated with, which was surprising and refreshing. There was no confusion, all questions were promptly answered, and it just felt very personalized. Although I know an entire team was involved in making this event so awesome, Marissa was with us the entire way, and her personal follow-through was beyond exceptional. Price: After thorough investigating, it was clear that The Healthy Cafe Catering Co. offered the best prices in the Albany area, especially for such an eclectic menu in a 5-star category. Full disclosure; I did end up spending more than originally planned, but that was purely out of convenience and to accommodate many varied tastes. (Ok ok, the other part of that truth... there were far too many delicious items on the menu, I added a personalized option [taco bar] and ordered 2.5x more than was needed because I wanted to send people [+myself] home with leftovers for the week leading up to Thanksgiving). Marissa pointed out that the amount of food/guest ratio was off, but I knew what I was doing. Best. Decision. Ever. Although I ended up going over my budget, I can say it was absolutely worth it, and feel like we received even more than we paid for. Now, the reason you're really here: THE FOOD... Everything was made with top quality ingredients, cooked to perfection (and reheated beautifully), and the flavors were beyond amazing. Fun starter for any occasion: Get the spicy pork empanada appetizers. I ordered 4 dozen for 40 people and honestly should've doubled that because they were so good. Twists on classics: Hot option: get their signature vegetable lasagna. Seriously... even the carnivores of the family were impressed. Cold option: get the petit sandwich platter... Why? Unadventurous kids ate twists on turkey & roast beef and liked it. One even ate a mushroom sandwich and went back for more. That's magic. The classics: Sausage & Peppers... I can't say anything about them, except I never had a chance to taste them before they were devoured. Traditional Meat Lasagna... Hearty, well seasoned, and raved about by many. The Jumpin' Julia Salad...Yep, even a chopped up vegetable medley made an impression with it's delicious add-ins and perfect execution. The thing I personally liked least: the baked Macaroni & Cheese. Why? Personal preference... I think Mac & Cheese should always be a drippy, messy catastrophe of a dish. However, this was exactly what baked macaroni and cheese should be; perfectly cooked noodles, evenly cheesed, and simple flavoring for those picky eaters. Alright, you've reached the end. You now know why you're going to make this team your go-to caterers. Congrats! Time for you to review the menu options on The Healthy Cafe Catering Co.'s website again and begin the most difficult part... narrowing down which items you'd like to make your event delightful & memorable. "Excellent experience, start to finish. I worked with Marissa on all aspects of my order, including initial estimates of food types and quantities, final decisions, pricing and payment, and delivery. She was prompt, professional, and helpful. I wasn't sure how much or what food to order for our party and she helped developed a final number with platters and hors d'ouevres - right on target. There was just a small amount remaining. Most importantly, the food was delicious and the presentation as perfect - gorgeous platters! The chicken satay and meatballs were a huge hit, as were cheese platters and Italian platters. The price was around what I expected and well worth it for professional service, quality and quantity of food, delivery and set up. Amazing!"

"Great catering company. We hired The Healthy Cafe Catering Co. for a corporate meeting. They were very responsive during the planning and coordinating phase. The food also arrived right on time and the staff member that was delivering was os helpful. When it came time for lunch, the staff raved about the food- especially the pulled pork sliders. "We hired The Healthy Cafe Catering for our wedding. The food was delicious, we got so many compliments from satisfied guests! They had a wide variety of options to choose from, which made choosing them easy because I am the pickiest eater in the world. They had lots of vegetarian options to choose from, which we so appreciated! We had some guests with Celiacs (can't have gluten), Crohn's (can't have FODMAPS), diabetes (can't have sugars), and high blood pressure (can't have salt) and they were so accommodating to guests that needed special meals. We got to do a tasting a few months before the wedding, and they were so friendly to us 1-on-1! They even came to our venue to meet with us, our planner, and our venue owner a week before the wedding to make sure everything was all set and to map out where they needed to set up and arrive, which was so great! Having that extra in-person meeting really helped relieve some of the stress from the big day! They provided excellent service, and our guests loved the food. I highly recommend this vendor! P.S. To all of the LGBTQ+ couples, this is a LGBTQ+ friendly vendor! They were so friendly to my Wife and I. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. 5 Stars!"
