"So we found the "trail head" at the stump with the rocks on it. Reviews for the last couple years we read, a lot said that the trail is hard to find and very overgrown. Indeed it is, we followed what appeared to be a very narrow unused "trail" for maybe 50? Feet at most and then it was so thick with rhododendron and downed trees/branches that you couldn't see where you were going. We eventually followed the sound if the water and after several attempts did make it to the creek before yellow creek falls but could find no safe and accessible way down. We are pretty experienced hikers and this one had my husband very upset. He took a twig to the eye, tripped on some things a few times. Rotten logs everywhere that liked to collapse under your weight. (I'm barely over 100lbs and we're both early 30s) we gave up. This needs cleaned up BADLY. While the trees aren't leaved out you can catch a rather obstructed view of both falls from the gravel road."
