"The parking was slightly confusing, and for signage, I would like to have more Native American history. How did the Vanderbilt family acquire so much land that was home to multiple ethnic groups? The trail was well marked and curated and the lookout platform enhanced the experience. The juxtaposition of the coms tower on such a beautiful Mt. offers reflections on the natural v. manmade world."
"I've been hiking this trail a few dozen times. It's my favorite place of where I live. It is bit of a hike continuously going up but it's worth it at the top. Here's a sunrise hike I did Sunday Oct 23rd 2022. Photos taken with Galaxy s22 ultra and DJI Mavic Mini."
"Nice hike up to Mount Pisgah. The trail is short (only about 1.3 each way) but steep and rocky. The trail gradually climbs for the first 0.5 miles and then gets steep as you climb up to the summit. There are hundreds of rock steps to climb but you'll eventually reach the deck at the top. The view was a bit overgrown when I was there but the views are still great (even with the tower)."
"The hike is considered hard on the All trails app. although it was, it was mostly hiking uphill that takes it out of you, but coming back down is a breeze! The hike is beautiful and peaceful, I went on a Monday and it wasn't very busy. You can see for miles around you at the top where there is a nice platform built above most of the tree tops!"
"The first 1.5 miles felt like The Lord of The Rings. Lots of greenery, moss and mud. Little stand along the way. You will pass two parking lots and other huggers will start to appear on the trail. The mile climb up to the antenna gets tough at times, lots of rocks, and steps to help you along the way. But, I would still say this part is more for the experienced hikers. Others just be careful and take your time. The views at the top are worth the hike."
