Reviews of Log Hollow & Discovery Falls Trailhead
"Four beautiful waterfalls to see on this hike. Easy to moderate hike. 3 3/4 mile round trip to see them all. Limited parking."
"Don't miss the slight turn off near the last falls. There is a rough camp site off to the right in a small clearing off the Forrest service road."
"Need to drive on gravel road for couple of miles to get to the trailhead. 4 waterfalls along the trail, logging road falls, upper and lower log hollow falls and discovery falls. The best is lower log hollow then upper. You can skip the other two. Route to discovery has a descent incline, and can be sketchy at places."
"Beautiful and easy hike to 4 different waterfalls. Discovery falls is a short side trail but bigger elevation gain. Log hollow was much easier for both falls. Maybe not even 2 miles to hit all of them."
"Enjoyed the hike to the first two falls on this trail. Trail head is a bit out of the way off a gravel road, so nice and quiet (not busy) to hike compared to a couple more readily accessible trails off more major roads in the area. Was an easy hike on a forest access road without much elevation gain, so was a nice relaxing walk for us and our kids after doing some more strenuous hikes in the days before. Even were some fresh blackberries to pick. Only negative was there were some ground hornets between Log Hollow and Kissing Falls that we inadvertently disturbed and two in our party were stung. In general because it is a bit remote and cell service is spotty on this trail I was glad we had plenty of water and a good first aid kit just in case of any issues."
