Reviews of Stony Fork Park
"Nicely located at the bottom of MT Pisgah. It is not kept up though however so honestly I was sketch going in by myself!"
"Needs a local group to adopt the maintenance. Could be a gem. Has some hiking trails."
"Great place to go to see orbs, and get EVP's and a sighting of a young girl. This area was an Indian Cemetery long before it was a park. Also during prohibition, many body's were dumped here and left to become compost. A body of a Massachusetts women who had been murdered and still unsolved and was featured on Unsolved Mysteries was this exact location. If you dare to experience true terror and real life Blair Witch experience, visit at your own risk, but I suggest you do not go alone!"
"This park has seen better days. Still a cool place to pull over and chill. I'm pretty sure there's a few semi permanent residents in tents. Hidden out of view. The sheriff stopped while we were there. The outhouse is now defunct as are most of the concrete picnic tables. I'm guessing around 1980 when I was 1 year old, This place was a hoppin camping/picnic area. I stop here often. Honestly had no idea what the name was. The sign is also long gone. It's probably on the wall of some man cave."
"I absolutely adore this spot! Its rarely occupy or used, barely during weekdays and maybe a dozen or so people will come through on the weekends during summer. It's safe and quite enough to even let Walter run around. Picnic tables but that's about it...no running water no toilets no amenities. But the creek gets warm enough to take a bath in and has all kinds of rocks to go hounding for. A perfect getaway spot. And the neighbors that live close by really try to take care of trash that gets left by careless other's. If you pack it in, you pack it out!"
