Corning Credit Union - Racine Drive Branch

"The staff at this location are great. My qualms are with the policies of the institution itself. I have been a customer for 5-6 years, always paid my bills on time, but when I was younger I was careless with my credit and have been working to build it back since. I was denied a SECURED credit card with a ~630 credit score. which I have never heard any bank doing. There is 0 risk if you can only access the funds you have. Unless you have pristine credit I would not recommend this bank. They made me feel like a criminal, like my business was unwanted, and that 5 years of doing business with them did not earn enough trust for a SECURED credit card. I get the impression they want nothing to do with anyone that isn't upper class or rocking a 800+ credit score. I wanted to post this for anyone who is trying to rebuild, DON'T do it here, they will make the process of rebuilding credit much longer and harder than it should be, only concerned with their own interests and not helping their patrons."
