"NOPE! Already had approval and great rate lined up, but my dealer said it was possible Epic had a better interest rate, so I agreed to check. Epic in turn pulled my credit, sent my stuff to 2 other banks, with a total of 3 hard credit pulls. And then offered a terrible interest rate. I told them I never consented to having my credit pulled by other banks who were not on the application, and their response on the phone was, “well, technically you did by filling out the app with us.” So I called Navy Federal back, bought my boat, and now will have 3 hard credit inquiries for at least 2 years for absolutely no reason. Grrr."
