Reviews of Laurel Park Inn
"I stayed here for 5 days with my husband and 3 yr old daughter. The owners were not very welcoming from the beginning, they had screaming kids on the other side of the wall and the office was a little run down. I should have taken that as a sign to leave, but I gave them a chance and continued my stay. When we went to the room it had a musty almost like a wet dog smell, we stayed anyways I didn't want to cause a fuss, so I stuck it out. The room was dated, but we were only going to be sleeping there. We stayed the entire duration of our stay and checked out. Upon check out I noticed I was charged an additional $100 so I attempted to reach out to the company, but received no response. I gave it a few days and called them and as soon as I asked why I was charged the owner said it was for damages to the room. I told her I did not damage her room and felt this was a mistake, she immediately got defensive and argumentative. The female owner yelled and screamed right over the top of anything I was saying. I asked her to stop yelling at me and explain these so called damages. She proceeded to call me a bunch of names and said I damaged her sheets by staining them. I told her I did not do anything of the such and they were dingy old sheets and she continued to yell at me and call me names and then hung up. My husband called back and as soon as he mentioned our charge she continued to yell at him. She said she had bigger things to worry about such as her washer and dryer being broke and she didn't have time for our petty complaints and hung up. I think the owners are disrespectful, rude and unreasonable thieves. They make up damages so they can charge you to make additional money. This is no way to run a business. I have never been disrespected like this by someone that owns a business. I guess if you disagree with them they become very disrespectful and ignorant."
"I have purchased rooms for 2 weeks with this motel. Lady is a straight shooter but is fair and prompt. Rooms are clean. I would book again."
"Rooms were neat, tidy, and clean. Older facility and in good shape. Rooms serviced daily with fresh linen. Mini fridge, microwave, and rocking chairs out front add to the charm. Outdoor pavilion with all kinds of cooking gear and tables. Ice machine on site, fire pit out front. Only negative thoughts would be road noise, very busy road couple times a day!! Excellent price and has a light snack breakfast with coffee each day at 7am. Very friendly owners, enjoyed my stay.!!"
"My wife was trying to get a room for the night after traveling for hours, big mistake we should have just kept riding by. My wife wanted a receipt stating we paid a cash deposit but owner would not give any tangible form. Owner( lady) stated she wrote it down and proceeds to tell my wife nobody has ever asked for a receipt. Wow! Really! Also, the owner was very sarcastic and unfriendly. I’m glad we left and found another hotel where the staff was very helpful and friendly. Didn’t see the room but from the inside of the office, my wife said it had a Bates motel vibe. Owner(lady) needs to learn how to be respectful if people choose to stay at her motel. It costs nothing to be kind!"
"The owners were kind and accomodating. I know this sounds trivial but they put a soft cloth out so I could wipe the dew and bugs off my motorcycle in the morning. Room was very clean and cozy. Loved it!!"
