Reviews of Riversong Romance 2 Bedroom Home with Hot Tub
"This is a mixed review for several reasons which I will go into in some depth here. The inside of the cabin is lovely an and quite cozy inside. The decorations are quite tasteful, the hot tub is one of the nicest I've seen at a cabin, and they must have a highly diligent cleaning crew. However, there were a myriad of small things that really lowered my overall review. The bottom line is I paid almost 1200.00 for three days in the cabin, and when so much money is spent for such a brief vacation my expectations are exceedingly high. I dont believe that is particularly unfair. The first night I went to cook and found that some of the cooking tools were already damaged beyond repair or very difficult to use. A whisk broke, snapped at the end while I was stirring eggs, the electric can opener was more adept at shredding labels than opening cans, the blender continuously stuck while trying to blend items for drinks that truly shouldnt have slowed anything down. Still trying to cook I found that many of the pots and skillets didnt have appropriately sized lids which made all simmering a little difficult. Then when washing dishes on occasion I would find that utilizing the sink while running the dishwasher seemed to result in the dishwasher simply turning off. A big draw for the location was the large rainfall shower with the slow waterfall seat in the corner. I came to discover rather quickly that there was very little hot water, so little in fact it was unusable. The bathroom sinks in the master also produced no hot water. The second bathroom shower could be used as the water would get warm, but still was not hot by any stretch of the imagination. I was quite disappointed as well that there was no tub in either room. One rainfall shower wss great but I would have appreciated a tub. However, I suppose with no hot water, we wouldnt have used it anyway. The coffee pot was an utter disaster. Even when using the provided coffee sachets. It retained so much water over the filter container that everytime it was used it made half a pot then had to be manually drained. I did love the large deck. It was a really nice space with ample seating to enjoy nature sounds, weather, and just escape. Still, I tried lighting the tiki torches and they wpuldnt light, one of the jets was broken on the hot tub, and the TV perk outside to watch from the hot tub was largely inoperable. It worked twice and only for a couple of minutes and the directions provided just werent great. I think the biggest problem I had overall was I paid a pretty large pet fee and one of the things I was really interested in was an outdoor and fenced enclosure for dogs. I placed my dogs in the enclosure only to find the entire area was floored with stones and the doghouse was very small. In fact only one of my dogs could fit inside at all. This might work well if you have a Yorkshire Terrier or two, but if you have a medium or large breed dog there is no way they will be accommodated. Not to mention the stones are so hard and walking is so unnatural and uncomfortable even if everything else was right, I would never visit this location again. Another serious issue is the door to the animal enclosure is a bit flimsy to the point that I was afraid my dogs might knock it loose and escape or simply break it. My whole three day trip they used the space a total of five minutes while o took my things inside. The humane care of animals is a top priority for me, and this just doesnt cut it. Theres also no internal door leading out to the enclosure so if you wish to interact with your animals there you will have to walk out the front, go through the gate, and enter through the fence. Then on checkout day we had to make sure all our dishes were done and everything was all cleaned up and wiped down for them. I can clean up after my family at home. I dont feel like I need to pay 1200.00 to wash my own dishes. All in all it was a quiet vacation, but there were so many inconveniences I would never recommend it, especially at the price we paid."
