Reviews of Elk Springs resort
"Stayed at “ desire fulfilled” for our trip to Gatlinburg. The Location was perfectly nestled between pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. We had a great time. And feel it was a Great investment. Cabin had a full kitchen with dishes pots and pans etc. loved the spaciousness of the cabin My wife would’ve liked it to be a little cleaner, she’s very picky though about that sort of thing - We just did a little sanitizing of our own for peace of mind, also a few bulbs were out. But all and all a perfect place for our trip to Tennessee."
"We stayed in “A Secret Hideaway”, the location was alright, there wasn’t a view except either of the cabins around us or a tank in the woods, TMobile and Verizon didn’t have consistent service in the area, we had enough WiFi to set our maps but that’s about it, there wasn’t enough service to even look at websites unless you’re prepared to wait a few minutes for the page to load. The rooms were a comfortable size and the beds were comfortable, we brought our own pillows so I can’t say the quality of pillows. The pool table was nice as the power went out our last evening there, I had one bar enough to send out a text to the help number and they were quick to respond which was nice. Also, the check-on process was great, we received a door code once the unit was available, it allowed us to take our time traveling. The thermostat does not go below 72, I get it, it’s a large space open space and would cost a fortune to cool, they have ceiling fans throughout the cabin, but if you’re a hot sleeper this is definitely not for you. There is a small kitchen area fully equipped, we personally didn’t utilize so can’t attest to functionality although I did notice the drip pans had grime on them. The downside: For the price, you can find better. The carpet in the master is brown and crusty with age and use, there is a pretty obvious discoloration between the wall and walkable space where you can see the original carpeting was beige. The place was tidy, it just wasn’t clean. We were also unable to utilize the hot tub while we were there as the screened area was actually missing a screen and there were wasps in the area."
"Started off as a great family trip. Then found a razor blade on the kitchen table. One of the kids could have easily picked it up. Our indoor pool in leaking in about 6 different spots and into the bathroom. Cups are dirty and has mold in them. No toilet paper in one of our bathrooms. I thought our first cabin experience as a family would be fun and enjoyable. Can't get in the pool because of the leak."
"This place was pretty disgusting. Dead bugs all along the wall of beds. Walls were sticky with some gooey stuff. The shower on the top floor was clogged and maintenance came to fix it and left the giant hair clog (previous guests )in the toilet or commode and did not flush it. Shower curtains have mold and mildew. The top bathroom leaked all along the bathroom wall of the second floor very unsanitary. The kitchen and interior of cabinets were sticky and dirty. They delayed our arrival time by two hours and would not allow us a delayed check out. Faulty fire alarm would go off for no reason. Sheets and towels were old and very rough. It rained and water came in from exterior doors on two levels. If you care for the physical, mental and emotional well being of your family stay clear- if you hate your family by all means book you stay here"
"Locations a great. We have used this company multiple times over the past 5 yrs. Had great experiences. Unfortunately since COVID it's getting to cost more to get less. Cabin smells of urine, dirty carpets, empty beer cans litter the lot. Was told today they can only supply 1 roll of toilet paper per visit. We are staying for 6 nights. Ever motel/hotel in modern history can counter that. Heading to store for get some basic necessities, so be prepared. $350 a night for a view may be worth it but maybe with another organization."
