"For well over 30 years, this spot has been a great place for authentic Greek food. Today, the Gyro Bar delivers delicious foods, a cozy dining area, and hospitality. Conveniently located on Long Beach Road, you can not for take out or dine in. Either way, you are in for a satisfying meal. We enjoyed the Avgolemono Soup, Gyro, Crisp Greek Salad and Spanikopita."
"As someone who has lived in NY for a greater part of my life, there aren't too many good Gyro places in Long Island. Gyro Bar may not be a flashy establishment and can easily be driven past but that would be a mistake. The food is excellent, affordable and quick. The service is friendly and you can tell they know their Greek food. Overall, great place that shouldn't be passed by."
"What a circus. Out of the 4 times we’ve ordered from them, twice they got the order wrong. Just this evening we waited an hour for two items and one of them was wrong and missing items. When my husband called to tell them the order was wrong they insisted that the order was right. My husband is allergic to feta so would never order a salad with feta. The girl who he spoke to responded with ‘what you’ve never made a mistake before?!’ Had a very nasty response, didn’t apologize and instead got defensive and angry. Someone needs some customer service training. When you make a mistake you own up to it. Period. What a terrible experience. Do yourself a favor, order from the half dozen other Greek places within the area. This place is not worth your time. Re their response below, no they did not apologize. The girl screamed back at my husband ‘ok!’ And hung up. The delivery guy apologized, but this poor guy did nothing wrong. I worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years. It’s always busy. I would never have spoken to someone they way she spoke to him. If you have to apologize after the phone call and try to make up for it by writing a note in the delivery bag, it’s too late. Your response below is not an apology it’s an attempt to save your reputation. Bad attitude, bad service. Period."
"I placed a pick up order for an item no longer on the menu which I didn’t know. There was a slight miscommunication but they automatically corrected my ordered within minutes while I was there, apologized and gave me free baklava. Can’t wait to come back as they said just to mention my name and they’d make my favorite LA bowl. My fav greek place locally hands down def coming back. Very nice people"
"My favorite place to get Greek food! The gyro is so delicious. I eat here 1-2 a week with co workers. Every time I come to pick up my food it’s ready quickly and I get treated with great service."
