"2023.09 food are classic. Ramen is light soup, not too salty as well. 3 slices of chasui. $5 beer. Only 1 server for the entire place. They are the same place as the Cajun crab . Get the combo for $22 ramen + appetizer. My Kinya ramen has missing gold flakes!"
"Popped in for a quick bite, very quiet and pleasant restaurant. The appetizers we ordered were great!, Ramen was good."
"A fair place for a bowl of ramen! 3.5 stars tbh. First off, this establishment is a ramen place and a crab shack. A very interesting combination and someday I'd like to try the seafood! The staff and waiters are friendly. This seems to be a place to bring a group of friends or family since it's pretty spacious. I was given complimentary plate of chips with some spices sprinkled on top. The chips were a decent snack. The Kinya ramen is a nice bowl of soup and noodles! The pork chashu had a nice flavor and had a delightful light crisp to it. The broth had a nice and semi-creamy texture to it but, for me, wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked. I think it could have used more of the black garlic flavor. Unfortunately the taiyaki was disappointing. The initial bite was decent, but as I got closer to the center of the pastry the red bean and dough was extremely mushy. The consistency of the filling was like pudding, which is something that shouldn't be in a taiyaki. The only saving grace to that dessert was the ice cream. The food is decent at best, but I'm really curious to see how they can elevate their ramen and Japanese dishes."
"We went on a Saturday for dinner. Greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress was super friendly. We got the ramen special. Ramen plus app for $22. We were sat by the kitchen and it was a mess. iPads were down and internet was going out. Despite all of this going on out waitress tried her best to provide us good customer service. The food came out within 20 minutes and the ramen was HOT and delicious. The veggie gyoza came after the ramen and when it did it was fresh and hot. Will definitely come back on a weekday though. The owners need to get more staff because the food is good it’s just that the waiters are being spread too thin and the tools given to them aren’t working properly."
"We went for the grand opening here on 1/2/23 with mixed expectations. First thing that struck us was the mismatch between the crabshack layout with ramen. The lighting in the back area where we were seated felt off due to the fluorecent lights. Most ramen spots have warm lights if anything. Atmosphere wasn't all that great as a result. Service was alright. They forgot an appetizer which never came and some of the food that was on the menu wasn't available. It was also weird seeing the crabshack menu in the middle of the Ramen menu. Food was not bad nor great. I've had much better ramen at other izakayas. Overall it's a decent spot but would it be my first recommendation for ramen? Absolutely no. They just opened, hopefully they will iron out the kinks and take stock of feedback via reviews."
