Reviews of Bruegger's Bagels
"I went to Bagel Jay's often so decided to try the new Brueggers Bagels. Online said that the Delaware location had a drive thru but when I hit there, I discovered it wasn't open yet even though this location has been open since December. The cashier was not the least but friendly and the breakfast sandwich I got was so greasy, even the take out bag was covered in grease. Very disappointing."
"I agree with the previous customer's review. Having been a loyal customer of Bagel Jay's for several years, I was disappointed to learn that it was sold to a new owner but was looking forward to becoming a new and hopefully loyal customer of Bruegger's. Unfortunately, I was very, very disappointed. I arrived around noon and it was very crowded (although many customers were waiting for "take out orders"). The system for ordering was different than it was at Bagel Jay's; instead of ordering directly from the staff actually making sandwiches, customers ordered from the cashier. So I approached the cashier (who was wearing sunglasses) and I attempted to order what I have ordered in the past at Bagel Jay's: tuna on a sesame bagel. The cashier was not very friendly or welcoming and simply stated: "we don't have any tuna, chicken salad, or egg salad anymore". Disappointed, I ordered turkey with spicy brown mustard (which was listed on the menu sign as one of the available condiments). Again, not very friendly, the cashier simply responded: "we don't have spicy brown mustard, only Dijon". The one positive was that my order seemed to be ready in less than 10 minutes. So overall, there seems to be limited options, unfriendly staff, and overall a very disppointing experience. Missing Bagel Jay's. Curious to see if the experience will be the same when the Klein Road location opens."
"Exceptionally disappointed. There were issues with flow of service as well as wait time even though there were many employees. The new behind the counter set up makes it difficult for customers to see the bagel choices. Too bad that the menu is so much more limited than in the past. I’m from the Capital Region and Bruegger’s is sadly closing store after store. If the Buffalo store doesn’t drastically improve it will follow suit. There were 2 managers there but no customer interaction, they coached the staff and conversed with each other."
"All reviews prior to Dec 2023 are for bagel jays. We decided to stop by to check out the new bagel shop and ended up disappointed. Service seemed fast but I guess that's cause they didn't actually toast our bagels. Our toasted bagels were more like warmed under a heat lamp bagels with a pool of butter on top. Selection of menu items was lacking, very limited compared to bagel jays. But to top off the whole experience I found 2 hairs on my bagel. First and last time I'll be visiting."
"Stopped here for breakfast and was not disappointed! Our group all ordered the #3 bagel with egg & bacon, 3 on Everything bagels and 1 Sesame bagel. They were excellent, bagels were super fresh and the sandwiches were warm. Will definitely visit again when in Buffalo!"
