BUNSIK Korean Street Food

"I came here twice: first time in New Years Eve and second time on January 2nd. Honestly, great food! The atmosphere is a bit dark for me, but it's cozy. I thought more people would know of 분식집 because it's truly affordable and the portions are big! I was easily full. I ate the rose 떡볶이 and it was the best. I also tried the 튀김만두 and it was delicious! This place is a hidden gem. The waitress and waitors were very kind, too. I like the 약과 I get after eating. It is a nice small treat :). I definitely recommend 분식집. It will make you feel like you're in Korea."

"Everything from the atmosphere, to the friendliness of the staff, to the food, it was amazing! Loved the decor and the upbeat music. Our waitress was such a delight. The food and drink was absolutely delicious. It was our first time in Flushing and this was a great stumble upon. We will definitely be coming back!"

"Very delicious food! The staff was very friendly and they were able to accommodate us and make many dishes vegetarian. The restaurant itself was nice, trendy and cozy and was playing a good selection of songs. We got the rose rice cakes and the curry udon and it was so delicious. The portions are kinda big too! The prices were very reasonable as well and they had a great selection to choose from. I would def come back with a bigger group of friends next time I’m in the area!"

"What a GEM of an authentic Korean restaurant to join Flushing. Great atmosphere with popular Kpop songs playing. The food was STELLAR tasting and in huge portions. I'm sure I've purchased Korean dishes in Ktown 34th street that were smaller and $10+ more each dish. We got the spicy race cake with ramyun noodle that was drenched in that iconic Korean spicy sauce. We already started eating so the photo doesn't capture that there was more and how large the dishes actually are. The second dish is the squid with pork over rice that is super balanced in protein and vegetables; it has that Korean bean sprout too. There was spicy fish cake soup on the house that is very flavorful. Great wait staff; she was super attentive. Lastly, check out their Insta (bunsik_ny) because there are dishes there that may not appear on their current menu."

"Visited this restaurant about a month ago since it was conveniently located where my party and I were having our outing. As it was their grand opening (opened for only 2 weeks when we were there in mid-May), we weren't sure what to expect and we were the only customers there as well. The menu offered an extensive range of delectable choices and we were pleasantly surprised to find how cheap everything was. Additionally, our waitress was extremely friendly and to our delight, the drinks were on the house as part of the grand opening celebration! We ended up ordering a variety of dishes, including the spicy rice cake with ramyun noodles ($13), buldock roll ($8), kimchi fish cake udon ($14), bibimbab ($13), baby octopus over rice ($15) and ramyun ($8.50). Every dish was delicious and we had no complaints. Food was definitely worth the price and so I took some rolls to-go! Overall, we had a wonderful experience and I will definitely be returning in the future should I be in the area."
